What game settings (time, speed, etc) are you using?

I'm currently using slow game speed and 6 minute halves on professional with all manual controls.

The issue I'm running into is that my players' form is always orange and very few players are ever in the green - even though my team (1 FC Koln) is doing very well. I read in the "Form" thread that maybe this has to do with the fact that I'm not playing long enough halves to get the proper stats for my players to really be positively impacted by form.

So... I'm considering changing to 10 minutes halves or something like that but the last thing I want is for my game scores to go from the reasonable level that they are now to something unreasonable like 7-5 or something like that.

So - what settings are you using and what are you typical game scores with those settings? And are you noticing that you players are benefiting from positive form if they are playing well?

Slow speed, professional difficult, 10 minute halves. Finished third with Liverpool in EPL tournament mode.

World Class, 8 minute halves, Slow speed. Never a goal-fest. Most goals scored by one team so far was 4 - and it happened once. Most games finish 1-0, 2-1, etc.

        All-Manual
        Professional
        Slow
        10 Minute Half

        My game scores have been 2-0 / 3-1 / 3-2

I have recently seen some 4-0 (I am finally getting the hang of it)

Even so - my form has been stinky - mostly the light orange arrows

          Professional
          Slow
          5 Minute halves

A lot of 1-0, 1-1, 2-0, reasonable scores. Most of my players are constantly in the orange as well. May move up to 7 minutes, will have to do some exhibition games before I make the change in my MM.
          Teams:

          NFL - Packers & Browns
          MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
          Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
          NHL - Wild

Normal. Professional. 8 min halves. Very few goals scored. Had a 0-0 match last night, using Galaxy vs Sounders.

Slow, Professional, 10 min. I'm getting the hang of this game now. Very realistic scores and it seems like I'm getting realistic Form ratings too.

What is the difference with slow speed as opposed to normal speed? Does it just make the players move a little slower. I think I am on normal. Thanks in advance

honestly, not sure of the exact differences, but when i tried it, everything seemed to be slowed down a little bit...players, the ball etc. i think it's just like madden. i found the game to be more realistic on slow as i felt like i had more control and the game wasn't as frantic.

Play SLOW speed for those who use manual settings...
even 10 minute games in slow speed, the game moves too fast...
try 15/20 minute games... you'll feel the players fatigue... their sharpness drop... you'll learn how to manage team stamina and tempo of the game.

I'm going to 15 minute halves full-time when I start my 2nd season in my MM. I've played a few during my first season (usually play 10/slow) and much like YNWA said, it does make for a different flow. I know I'm more patient playing when playing longer games. Don't feel the need to push, push, push, full steam ahead all the time and it can lead to some interesting results.

I played my cup semifinal on 15s against a somewhat weaker side. It was a tight 1-1 stalemate for about the first 60 minutes -- coincidentally, the same amount of real time as 10min halves -- but eventually I broke it open to win 5-1. Once I got a two goal lead, they came after me and the rout was on...

I think changing the CPU's tactics is a must if you want to play longer games, particularly lowering build-up speed and shooting.

What's your fitness coach level on 15 minute halves. I'm playing 10 minute halves right now and finding that unless I have a cup game I never have to rotate my squad. I updated my fitness coach to '8' when I started my MM but am regretting that and wondering if '6' or '7' would be better.

I'm thinking of starting a new MM with 15 minute halves so curious to hear your results.
