I've had this happen before. I do not think it is a glitch, but rather the player does not want to sign with you (for some reason). The fact that even after cutting him, he won't accept a deal in FA (maybe through bidding he will, not sure) reinforces that.

Personally, I like it... but it hasn't happened to a player I like yet. When it happens to, say, Patrick Willis or Michael Crabtree, THEN I'll have a problem.

And promptly slap either of those punks with a franchise tag
