The Friars started the game up 12-0 and never looked back on way to a 79-66 victory.

Greedy Peterson had 22 points and 9 rebounds, while Sharaud Curry had 23 points of his own to help pace the Friars in this one.

Evans had 16 points and 15 rebounds for St. John's to keep them in the game.

The Friars (12-1, 2-0) will get a big test against #16 Louisville (13-1, 1-0) on 1/6 on the home court.
