Interesting, I thought it was fatigue related, as I didn't notice it until I started messing around with the Fatigue slider. What slider set were you using while playing the game?

First off, this video was before the 2nd patch, as stated in the information box. Also it is progressive fatigue. If you have fatigue high, you would've got tired after running 15 yards even if you only had 1 carry. The 2nd patch basically fixed this though.

He's right, the hitch is 100% still in there after the 2nd patch.

What do you mean by 'progressive' fatigue?

Well the hitch comes into play when your player is tired, and when your player is running he gets tired and after awhile he starts slowing down. Madden meant to have players slow down a bit on long runs, but it turned into hitching I believe.

What you can do to get rid of it is to lower your fatigue to under 50 and then raise your auto-sub settings. This really has nothing to do with pursuit angles.

Well I think what he is arguing is that the "hitch" slows down the runner, which allows the computer to catch up and make tackles despite off pursuit angles. Pursuit angles have been a big problem in this game so this on paper could be a reason the "hitch" comes into play, to help balance things out. So if this happens to be the case, then pursuit angles have everything to do with it.

The reason I tend to think it does, is because if this solely dealt with running and "progressive fatigue," then everyone on the field would be hitching, not just the ball carrier.

                    Re: Pursuit Angle Exposed?

Yeah, I would like to know what the fatigue was set to as well as the sub in / sub out for the HB (even though it's his first carry) were in the video. I bumped fatigue to 55 and that's when I started seeing it. I never saw it before I adjusted the fatigue & sub settings (adjusted both at the same time) from the default.

btw - I wrote a fairly detailed explanation of the pursuit angles and why they are failing. Seems like a fairly easy fix to me. You can read here -> http://www.operationsports.com/forum...e-pathing.html

                      Re: Pursuit Angle Exposed?

Fatigue, even if it is the "reasoning" behind this, should not make players run like that - no matter what the reason is the effect is just stupid!!!
