    Best recruit you've ever signed?

I signed a **** recruit in my Army dynasty, Mark West. He has become a complete beast for me and is leading the Black Knights back to NCAA prominence along with QB transfer Denard Robinson.

My question is, who is the best recruit you've ever signed in your dynasty?

My Rutgers dynasty last year I got a 4 star WR named Anthony Campanella, he won the heisman throphy as a freshman. The guy had it all size (6'2 212) speed (96) and strength (57)

He could go deep, over the middle, or catch a short screen. He was also my kick and punt returner. Guy was a best.

Mark Williams, 6'2" 261 lb 4 star athlete, turned him into a RB (90 ovr) with my TAMU dynasty, I also got the number one player in the nation in running back Frank Ford and Williams starts over him. I run the ball a TON and love playing because it's smash and dash (well not really, since williams has 88 speed!)

my freind signed a cb against me in an online dynasty. he was a five star and came in as an 88 with 97 speed and an unusually high hit power. his redshirt freshman year, he was a 95 and then by his redshirt he was a 99 ovr w/ 99 speed. luckily, he left after his redshirt sophmore season. i also had a four star olb w/ 92 speed he came in as a 82 olb but an 85 de so i switched him and started him four years and he won two heismans...he had 95 speed b the end of his career and stayed for all five years.

that's why it makes no sense to redshirt a guy like that

Re: Best recruit you've ever signed?

In 09 game I had a 3* QB turn into a stud. I was in year 6 with Miami after getting fired from Michigan in year 2. I just had a star finish his career. I had signed this guy, can't remember his name, the season before and redshirted him. He came in as a 78ovr with 95THA. I had a 4* RsSo and a 3* RsFr plus a RsSr that was 98ovr so I didn't need him. I didn't even plan on him playing that much with the 4* guy there but the 4* guy could not throw the ball and I ran a spread pass attack. So come year 6 I decided to go with the 3* RsFr who was now a 81 ovr and a 97THA. The guy stayed all 4 years and broke all the passing records. By the time he was done he was a 93ovr with a 99THA. I won 3 N.C. in 4 years. The only thing he didn't do is win a heisman. Finished 2nd twice. I was still playing 09 three weeks after I got 10 on the day after release. I have never had a QB that good. He was a gem. He did have 5 offers when I signed him all from BCS schools. The only thing I could not do with him was go deep. He had a weak arm (87THP as a RsSr).
Relax, it's just a video game!

Re: Best recruit you've ever signed?

My best recruits have been a 5* HB, Tony Holt. Rushed for over 2,000 yards his freshman and junior years, (sophomore year I passed a lot more than usual due to my team's strengths) won the Doak Walker both of those years, and the Heisman his senior year. He was the perfect HB for my spread offense, really quick and a great pass catcher too.

My other recruit was a 5* athlete who I converted to defensive end. He didn't have amazing stats because I controlled the other defensive end mostly, but it was nice manning one side of the line myself and having a stud on the other to mop up any runs that went that way, as well as getting the occassional sack. The year my other stud DE graduated, I swtched him over to the LE spot and he ended up with 20+ sacks, so he was a stud too.

                      Robert Coleman
                      **** RB
                      St.Rose, LA
                      6'2" 210
Built just like Hester and White too, so I gave him #18

He wasn't a 4-year starter, but since I run the flexbone, he got playing time. Suffered a bit from injuries his soph. year. Got sniffed of the Heisman his JR year, But had 2,540+ yards his Sr Year and took home the Heisman

                      Set all school rushing records
                      2nd in NCAA rushing yards
                      1st in rushing TD's
My favorite stat is he averaged 15 yards after 1st hit, 4 year average.
                      2 Time Doak Walker (JR,SR)
                      2 Time Maxwell (JR,SR)
                      4 Year All-American (Fr-Fr, So-2nd, JR-1st, SR-1st)

To be fair, I had a ***** OT Run Blocker (who's last name was also Coleman) that same class who made it easier for me.

I redshirt almost all my freshmen. It gives you a TON of depth, you always have great players on the field, and you only have to recruit to improve positions and not to fill holes. Like instead of a solid T you can recruit a stud to take his place.

i agree in general but with a player that good he's almost guaranteed to leave after his RS soph year so it's better to play him as freshman to at least get 3 years out of him. I've recently signed my best recruit ever in my current UNH dynasty only 4 years in and I landed a 5 star OLB named Ryan George who's 6'6 249 and an 89 as a freshman. I switched him to MLB because i run a 3-4 and had need there, but i'd be foolish not to start him right away. He's the second highest rated player on my entire team and has literally transformed my defense all by himself because my secondary is horrible so through just two games he's got 13 tackles 8 tfl 3 sacks and helped me give up just 26 total points. even when he doesn't get a sack or tackle he puts pressure on qb's and forces bad throws/turnovers or somehow creates an opportunity for someone else to make the play. If I had reshirted him not only would he certainly be gone by the time he's a RS soph, but my defense still wouldn't be able to stop anyone and i'd probably lose more games. If i win more games I can land better recruits and now by the time he leaves i should have more studs ready to take his place.

This absolutely blew me away...on my Virginia Tech dynasty, I was able to sign a Wide Receiver named Steven McNair from Mississippi, 4 star recruit. 6'2 197, good size, great hands, decent speed. I went in and changed his number to #9 in honor of his late father. This was incredible. I am giving him a chance to play as a true freshman.

a few players in my offline dynasty with MTSU(just started year 2018).

WR Gilbert Foster 5'11" 169. 91 overall when graduated, started 4 seasons. I run the ball more than I pass, but with Foster starting 4 season, it was enough time for him to pretty much break ever receiving school record there was for a career. when healthy, he was my main target and go-to guy. he was a 4* recruit.

                              224 catches 3,425 yards 35 TDs, 14 carries 55 yards, 73 KRs 2,103 yards 3 TDs, 154 PRs 1,218 yards 1 TD.

he could have had more stats, but he got seriously injured his sophomore season and only had 29 catches. he also got injured a few weeks in his senior season. his catch totals for the 4 seasons were 71, 29, 81, 43.

LE J.D. Hairston 6'4" 278 lbs - won the 2016 Lombardi Award. started 2 1/2 season. he had 178 tackles(71 TFL) 38 sacks, 3 Ints, 7 forced fumbles, 1 recovery. I believe he was a 3* recruit. he graduated at 87 overall as a Redshirt Senior. owns all the school records for sacks. 38 career, 4 in a game, 20 in a season.
