I saw it and thanks for the support gameplay wise.

Really I think you could challenge for that division if you don't turn over the ball a lot. A couple unlucky fumbles or int's will hurt you since that team isn't talented.

Glad to see Bulger leaving the 'Skins, then.

That guy was throwing strikes on me from 60-yards deep that Campbell would never have hit.

So, I did tie my lack of controller vibration on passing to hardcore play calling. As soon as I changed to advanced it started vibrating with pressure. FYI

Man, I hope not. 75 INJ rating is a wee bit lower than I'd like. He played great vs. KC, but we also protected very well and only allowed one sack.

If he does go down, we're in huge trouble with Boller and Null behind him. Either of those guys is a ticket to a top 5 draft choice .

Re: ACQB M10 Franchise Game Discussion/Ish-Talking Thread

Badvibe picks up a 34-26 win. His xbox frooze up so we had a restart and I come out hot and jumped to a 7-0 lead. My defense looked good. On the restart it was the other defense that came out. Vibes broke the first two plays for long touchdown passes. I got two issues on defense. 1) my guys can't tackle. 2) no speed in the secondary. He also broke 3 of the first 4 plays in the game for touchdowns. I was in a 21-3 hole early.

Both offenses were red hot. You guys would of loved a spectator mode in this game. Both were over 600 yards of total offense. My Niners nearly racked up 700. Gore went off for +200 plus. Vernon Davis put in another 100 plus catching the ball. Palmer had about 250. Matt Ryan blew my defense up for 300+. Also no turnovers in the game until :10 second left when I forced a prayer downfield to Crabtree. I did have some solid run defense and held the Falcons to under 50 yards on the ground. The Falcons O line picked up the blitz all day. Matt Ryan was able to destroy any zone/man defense I threw at him. Also I found out Leron James in a freaking beast, he is about impossible to tackle. After a 31-20 half my defense showed up a bit in the second half and held the opposition to only 3 points.

Last week my Offense didn't hold up the end of the deal. This week it was my defense. If you just look at teams stats in both games you would probably think it was a win but I can't put myself in that kind of hole early. I came out a bit to aggresive this time thinking Peterson was going to get instant pass rush but it was picked up everytime.

Hats off to Badvibes he played a great game again. I feel like I am really close to getting this team to turn the corner. Doc is up next so I could very easily be 0-4. I am going out on a limb and say I have the best 0-3 team in the league

                      -It's Easy Being Greene!

                      16 carries, 56 Yards

-Shonn Greene Emerges In 2nd Half

-Cutler Harassed. Olsen Shackled, in Jets 21-14 Victory.

December 21st, 2009- Soldier Field, Chicago.

Is every week going to be like this?

For the 3rd week in a row, the New York Jets found themselves in a game that was following a familiar script.

Offense listless, defense on the field for too many plays, and behind on the scoreboard.

3 weeks in a row, the defense has been able to keep the game within striking distance, as the offense, slowly, painfully began to wake up from their slumber.

For 2 weeks out of the 3, it has worked..as Gang Green has been able to find that needed spark, but can this trend continue all season?

Ny Kia tried to put his best spin on the troublesome pattern.

"I'd love to actually go through a game playing from ahead for once. If this continues all year, I might be driven into an early retirement. This is far too stressful.

"I'll take the W's, but we need to pick up the tempo right at the opening whistle. We cant wait for a big play to bail us out, and we cant be constantly relying on our defense to keep us in the game, and carry us."

                      And carry them they did.

David Harris: 2 tackles 2 sacks

                      The numbers:

                      Jay Cutler : 12-21, 177 yds, 0 TDs, 3 Ints, 2 sacks, 5 knock downs
Greg Olson: 2 catches, 27 yds
Devin Hester: 3 catches, 51 yds.

"We set the tempo." Commented David Harris.

"Every week we go out with the mindset that we are going to set the tone for the game. We look to get into the offenses head right from the opening snap."

The Jets staff commented during the week, that they spent more time in the film room, preparing for this weeks game, then usual.

Coach Ny Kia elaborated, "After the Pats loss, although we played well statistically, we had some breakdowns and I saw some things overall, that I didnt like."

"We spent some time breaking down the film and saw some things that we could correct. We installed some "automatics" on defense..and changed some assignments on the fly, based on formation."

Defensive captain Bart Scott put it more succinctly, "Coach decided that we had to release the hounds, and let us hungry dogs eat"

Gang Green put constant pressure on rocket armed QB Jay Cutler, and prize rookie free safety, Prince Justin, had the best game of his young career with 4 solo tackles, 1 INT, and drawing the assignment of man coverage on Pro Bowl TE Greg Olsen.

"People thought I was crazy releasing Justin Leonhard, but I keep telling all of you; this kid is a star in the making. He's got Troy Polamalu's motor, plus Ed Reed's instincts."

That comment, raised some eyebrows among the media, and will certainly come as news to the good folks down in Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

Ny Kia went on, "My favorite thing about him, is that he is a fast learner. Last week, he got dusted on a wide out screen, and Wes Welker schooled him."

"What does he do this week? He pays attention in the film room, and when he recognized the same formation, he reacted instantly at the snap of the ball, and ran down Devin Hester in the open field. That stop led to eventual game ending interception by Bart."

                      Offense Steps Up

                      Dustin Keller : 4 catches, 69 yds

Leon Washington: 4 rec, 24 yds, 6 carries, 22 yards, 2 TDs, 37 return yards.

The end of the 1st half saw the Jets offense break into a rhythm, which they continued to maintain in the 2nd.

"We stunk on ice, in the 1st quarter", groused the coach.

"It cant continue, It has to stop. Soon.

The Bear defense came out in a tricky scheme. Pressing up on the Jets wide receivers. With the agile, rangy, Brian Urlacher strafing in the shallow middle, the Jets struggled to find throwing lanes.

Gang Green opened up the offense by "dusting" off, last years security blanket, Dustin Keller. Keller was able to pull free of linebacker and safety coverage, and the multi dimensional Leon Washington also found space to operate.

The revelation of the game, came in the form of Shonn Greene, whos strong inside running, established a rhythm for the offense.

"Shonn was big, real big. People always want to focus on the highlight runs, but what he and Leon Washington were able to do, was get us in a steady, play calling tempo. In this game, the difference between 3rd and 4, and 3rd and 7, is huge.

The 2 backs combined for 80 yards, with "L-Dub" showing surprising short yardage pop with a pair of goalline TD runs.

195 pound Leon Washington? Goalline back, coach?

That question got a laugh from the skip.

"Umm..not so fast. 13 touches, between carries, catches and returns, sounds about right for Leon. we have 13 weeks to go, I'd like to keep him in one piece.

                      Notes

WR: Braylon Edwards: 2 catches, 13 yards.
--Was spotted on replays, jogging routes and pouting after plays.

                      CB: Ahmad Carroll: 3 tackles, 1FF, 1FR, 1 TD
--Dime Back and Special Teams standout, with a momentum changing "trifecta"

DT: Kris Jenkins: This has the look of a career season for "Jenks". The big guy is in terrific shape and has 5 tackles for a loss in 3 games.

That's a first class writeup, Kia! What a fun and engaging read. Nice work by Prince on the Hester screen. Film room time pays off .

I've been researching other online franchise websites and comparing their offseason system. You know what? I still can't find things to emulate from theirs. Everyone else just "forces" people to drop a certain amount of players to keep it alive. Our system has a "player walking" system but it completely random, and people can only hold so much top talent and because of that undesirable top players are let go all the time.

The last FA session was eye-opening in the sense of how awesome and fun it was! It was cool seeing ALL that talent out there to bid on... just like the NFL.

Our league is still tops... easily.

I need to work on some man-press antidotes for the WRs.

Really fortunate that I have a good TE and mulit-dimensional HB, or I would have been screwed.

Try routes that pick eachother... there's a bunch that cross the slot WR and TE.

Remember that running with your QB can be very powerful against a man D like that.

I think the key to working against the man press is to watch your OL first before anything to gauge pressure. You should know where to go pre-snap. I think Braylon has a good release ability, and because of that I'd consider sending him deep against cover 1 presses because there's a chance he'll just blow by the DB. If you know your opponent isn't matching up on Braylon, swap him to the weaker CB against the press and let him do his thing.

Going deep against the press is a good idea IMO.
