    College Hoops 2k8 v. NCAA Basketball 10

First of all, I am not trolling in anyway.

I just want to know, before I invest money which of the two games in the subject line is better. I am looking for decent playability, graphics/presentation, and longevity.

I currently own NBA 2k10 for PC and I like the 2k games, but I am unsure when if comes to the college games. I am looking for the PS3 version.

Please offer your input and advice. Thank you.

It's seriously no contest. CH2k8 blows it away on just legacy (dynasty) alone. But you're asking this question in the CH2k section, so obviously it's going to be a bunch of posts supporting it.

Yeah, but after I posted this I was watching a bunch of vids on yutube and I think the 2k8 game is gonna earn my cash. Now... where to find it... :P

I love the presentation in '10, but I'm all about a deep, interactive dynasty/legacy mode and CH2k8 still blows NCAA away in that aspect.

Not to mention you could probably get it for like $10 used, so you could go spend the other $50 on another game or something.

Look on Amazon. You might find one for less than 20 new. Got mine for 18 new.

Sweet! i will check that out! Thanks for the posts guys. Like I said above, the vids I have seen when compared to NCAA 10 have convinced me.

There was a great vid that compared College Hoops to NBA 2k9 on Youtube. It had some excellent points about defence.

When it comes to legacy I would go with Choops. But if you are an online player, you should stick with NCAA only because it just came out and they're are more people interested in up-to-date rosters.

Not much of an online player to be honest.

Very deep Legacy Mode. You can choose where you start in an Open Legacy where you get to be the coach of the team you want to coach, or you can choose to climb the coaching ladder or take a cinderella team to the top. Recruiting is amazing in this game. You have a certain amount of points and it takes effort to get players to come to your school depending upon where you are and what their interests are. This game is still relevant. I have played both Ncaa Basketball and Choops and I must say the Legacy mode is just better in Choops. It is more realistic. There are more schools and it is deeper within the recruiting spectrum. It is just a better bang for your buck like others said. You can get the game used or new for cheap and get another one or save your money.

Deepest legacy (dynasty) mode in sports video gaming history. And not to mention the Coaching Carousel that's mind boggling. You can watch one of your assistants get hired by a smaller school and they instantly mimick your style of play. Freakin' brilliant.

Ever see twins recruited to the same school? It happens in CH2K8.

that is reason #377 why this game is great.
                            Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Hey guys thanks for the great conversation here. I just go the game today and can't stop playing it. It is friggen deep! I am playing most of the way through the ABL and I am still not sure what I should be doing.

Does anyone know of a basic guide to the games legacy mode? I am not looking for the "greatest strategy ever" guide, just something I can read through to help get a better grasp of what I should be looking for.

I am playing the Aggies to start. I have no idea what school I want to be when and If I make it to the big time. I am partial to the Tar Heels, but I just don't know.

Also, the point above of the assist coach leaving to take over another team, and then mimicing your coaching style? Man that sounds phenominal.
