Re: X*Cell - The Hit Factory [2009]
To be honest, it's hard to give it a good evaluation because the mixing and mastering is really rough. It's distracting to the point I can't really give it a good listen.
It has a distinct Justus League feel to it though and "I Rise" is well done. I'll give some more feedback if I get another chance to take it all in.
edit: also, the production is really excellent.Last edited by NC State-31 UNC-27; 12-31-2009, 07:09 PM.Comment

appreciate the feedback fam... kinda interesting about the mixing/mastering... the album sounds crisp on literally hundreds of speakers we've bumped it on, so I don't know what the issue could be for it to sound "really rough". ?!?To be honest, it's hard to give it a good evaluation because the mixing and mastering is really rough. Sounds kinda far-fetched tbh.Last edited by X*Cell; 01-01-2010, 01:44 AM.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: X*Cell - The Hit Factory [2009]
not far fetched. those vocals are a bit rough. levels are too loud on lots of the songs and sounds like some clipping going on to me.
it's just not up to professional standardsComment

I don't think you know what you're talking about. Are you a sound engineer? Is music production something that you know anything about?
You could've at least said something about the music if you were going to give your opinion.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Lol...I'm with NCState on this one. Some of the vocals sound slightly off, not bad, just a little off. XCell has a distinct voice, and it's hard to find the right balance to give his vocals the appropriate oomph without overshadowing the beat.
You guys are doing a good job and are obviously dedicated to your craft. Beats and lyrics are on point. Keep it going.Comment
