Worst team/biggest challenge in closed dynasty?

I'm getting ready to start a closed dynasty (meaning the only schools available to choose from at the start are the ones offering me a job). What school is the worst or will provide the biggest challenge?

If you want to choose anyone I think Sacramento State is one of the worst/hardest to build up teams in the game.

I would have said any team they offer you from the SWAC will be very difficult to win with in the tournament.

I find the list of teams they offer you is odd (like Cincy...WTF???). They should have done it like CH2K8 and only offered you crappy small schools. Oh well.

If you look at all the schools, a few are listed as "highest" in challenge, none of them are on the list for "closed" dynasty. I know Southeast Missouri State is one of the "highest" challenge teams in the game, I can't recall the others.

Interesting. Perhaps I should go the open route then. You can still get job offers from other schools that way, right?

Yeah you can coach whatever team you want.

...i really only start dynasties with teams i can build up from the bottom, even in college football.

my first team was niagara...1 or 2 stars i believe, their good in real life tho. i got fired after 3 seasons, obviously i wasnt good i havent played a basketball game since some like 98 live....yep, 98. so i took my act to st. bonaventure since i wanted to stay in NY. i won the atlantic 10 then was invited to joint the ACC, so i did. didnt win the conference yet but i made the tourney twice. now i'm ranked 7th in the nation. last season i was #1 for a week or 2.

I meant, will you get job offers from other schools should you do well enough to warrant it? I'd like to build up a horrible small school and work my way up the ladder to a power conference school over time.

yeah you get job offers, the thing is you dont know who wants you unless you click "accept". i think the thing to do is save after your last game, tourney game or whatever then accept the offer, if you dont like the school quit dynasty and re-load to your save point. gotta turn off autosave tho. 2 teams wanted my coach but since i didnt know who i stayed and signed back to back 5 year contracts. you get conference invites too if your team rolls its division a couple years in a row.

i thought Cincinnati was only available because they were my favorite. i picked Howard. so far: 17-14 and I stink @ recruiting.

Nope. They are available for some reason despite being a 4 star team. ND is my favorite and they were not available. I was looking at Howard as well, but I might do an open dynasty so I can pick a worse team.

Try Eastern Illinois, they have a High difficulty rating. But there line-up is pretty good to be competitive enough for "Big Boys" play.

I chose UC Riverside as my new "small school" dynasty. It has a medium difficulty though but i fell in love with a lot of seniors in this team, i could rebuild it right away.

New Hampshire is the hardest one I've played with, they have "high" challenge rating they are only a 2 star team, and the roster is not that good. So far I'm 0-3 but by far the hardest challenge I've played yet.
