Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
Yikes, wouldn't that be something! I know that 100 FPS is essentially the next step from 60 FPS, so if they feel they can do 90 FPS without tons of optimization, I'm all for that.
I suppose the trailer downscaled the framerate or something though, because the trailer definitely wasn't running in 60 or 90 FPS.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
no, that was for the tackling sequences or something like that....game should run at 60fps.. I wonder if it was just that video, or gametrailers... maybe if someone downloads it, it'll move smoother.Comment

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
Anyone else think its funny that David Hayter (Solid Snake, "Its in the game" guy) voiced this trailer? Or at least someone that sounds very much like himCharger Fan Born and Raised!

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
The QB's looked like they were jump passing the ball.I think that trailer just made me not want to get it now. 90% of the passes they showed was dropping off their back foot passing. I paused and replayed certain areas and it looks as if I could see some suction blocking also.
The running looks really stiff and just on a whole not very polished.Comment

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
The game needs a hook with all the disadvantages it has. The hardcore here may not want to hear it, but those free-form big hits may be enough to draw out some casual purchases. It shouldn't be expected that it's going to get most base football concepts correct on their first pass. I know people will hate to hear it, but Madden had back-foot passing in their game for years into next gen. At the very least this may be a case study on why it's next to futile for any developer to attempt making a non-licensed football game. I think there's a lot of unrealistic expectations riding on the titleHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
I'm sure this will be a slider based game, for me at least. I absolutely love the catch animations; as you can tell the receiver actually looks the ball in, and uses soft hands on the catch. Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
I read on the BB forum that they made the video with user control. What I mean is that the backfoot passes were due to the user throwing before the QB's steps were complete. This should however negatively effect the accuracy of the pass, not to mention the timing of the play.Comment

I hope that the "Break Records" comment means that there will be a deep statistical tracking element to the game.Comment

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
Despite player stiffness and fadeaway passes, this game looked really really fun! Everything looked smooth and the interactions looked very solid. That got me really jacked to play this game. From what I saw, it looks like the big hit frequency thing will not be an issue, the tackles looked more reasonable there.Xbox Live Gamertag: CreatineKasey

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
I just want to see in-game footage, not just quick cutscenes and footage. I will say the passing game looks a little iffy.
I noticed in the earlier trailer that DB's looked like they were standing in cement when the WR's caught balls downfield.Comment

Re: New Back Breaker Trailer
I suppose the statement should be "We have yet to see a RB truck at all" They have yet to show a power back try and go head to head with someone and that is something I am very interested in seeing.
There is very brief footage from the E3 video that shows the players breaking out of a tackle and also being tackled and losing balance only to put his hand on the ground to try and get more yards.
0:34 guy breaks out of a tackle
0:41-43 #42 has a defender fall off his back as he runs forward
0:43-46 guy plants his hand to regain balance(it almost looks like he slipped the defender a roofie or something because he is just laying on the ground after falling down and he then trips over the body)
