Is it just me (i know its not though) but as much as i love the regular season, I especially love the off season. With all of the hot stove and the anticipation of a new The Show every year.

There's a lot of text, so it kinda has that magazine cover vibe. I dig seeing these colored covers for sports games, since EA's had used a white background for all these years.

So this game is out within days of God of War 3. I better start saving that money now.

What I really like about the cover not being black and white anymore ... is that it now pops out and says "look at me", "the best baseball game out".

Where before, we all knew it was the best one out, but being b&w made it appear more "generic" I think.

Not sure about the blue, but I like the quality of the render they used. Nice to see a change in appearance in the cover. Maybe this could help indicate a nicer looking menu system perhaps?

Hmm, definitely different. Unsure if I like it (seems like there is too much "blue space" on the bottom right, though there's an image there), but the cover won't matter too much to me anyway.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I like the cover but they should have added a different color to the text box in the lower right that says 2009 AL MVP to balance out some of the blue space. Of course this is just serious nitpicking, and the cover doesn't matter much to me either since I will definitely be going with a custom one this year featuring the 2009 World Series Champs! Right now, I'm hoping to get one with the whole group of Yankees celebrating at the mound after the final out (same pic that's on the official DVD/Bluray).

I think the cover looks great. I like it being a departure from previous covers. Don't want anything to get stale. They really seem to know what they are doing out there. I have only bought one game since MLB 09, and MLB 10 will quite possibly be my only purchase this year.
