So, does any1 know is there gonna be any future HC games? HC11? HC12 maybe? I really like this game and I would love to see they make another better version of it in the future.

Re: Future Head Coach Games?
I think 11 is pretty much out of the question, but I am hoping for a 2012 release. It's disappointing that they haven't released any more patches or at the very least a roster update to make the ratings more accurate. -
Re: Future Head Coach Games?
I'm not particularly optimistic : (
Just a glance over big publishers (activision, EA, take-two) comments re: poorly selling franchises that are going to get the axe in the next year or so, I can't imagine EA is planning on resurrecting a poorly selling franchise.
Of course, HC09's sales don't account for people like me who bought the madden collectors ed and never touched madden. Ah well.Comment

Re: Future Head Coach Games?
I doubt it, only because it did not sell too well last time, and even though there is a lot of diehards like us, there simply is not enoughWhat really needs to happen in they combine how in depth head coach is only you can play the games as if it were madden
Thats how madden should beComment

Over the past 4+ years of madden now(Give or take on personal preference) franchise mode has not seen any love. Just simply comparing the "new" additions/tweaks into M10 this year to HC07 let alone HC09 just shows how little they focus on improving it.
Or comparing the difference of new stuff from HC07 to HC09 and M05 to M10 and it becomes glaringly obvious. I have personally given up on up on madden ever giving extreme depth into their franchise mode.
I thought that the devs moving from HC09 to Madden would be a good thing but unfortunately they have even admitted on several topics that they arent being allowed to fix and expand the foundation of franchise because the head bosses wont spend the time/money...Which is complete BS when you consider the amount of money made yearly on madden but alas I wont rant any further then this.Comment

Should be is the key term here.

I hope they make another HC game, just love how indepth all the off the field stuff is. Combine Madden with HC and you'd have one hell of a game.PSN: beruchtejan

A minor or massive patch with updated rosters and maybe some new features would be fine with me.
Like that will ever happen

Re: Future Head Coach Games?
Does anyone else feel like Madden should be released on a two-year basis? Think about it: with two years in between releases, it gives the devs more time to actually make improvements to the game instead of just adding visual flare. If they did that, then EA could release a roster update in between releases instead of a new version of the game. I just feel like there isn't enough improvement to the core game itself each year (I say core game because it is undeniable that EA improves on visual effects each year) to justify spending $60 for every new release, and part of the reason could be because there isn't much time (from the point of view of a game developer) to make improvements. I admit, I still have fun playing Madden on occasion, but I still feel like there could be more improvement.
To further my point on time possibly being an issue, look at Head Coach. In 2006 (maybe 07?) the first one was released. Three years later, a second is released. Now I realize that HC 09 wasn't in the works for all three years, but I'm sure it had more time to develop than any Madden game has ever had. Even if it didn't, there was still enough time between releases for the devs to feel comfortable starting all over with design (that is a hard point to explain, but anyone who has ever programmed or designed video games before knows exactly what I'm talking about). It would be near impossible for Madden to just "start all over" since there's too short a time between releases. But, I think the biggest thing with HC is that EA listened to the consumers a little more than they have before, at least it seemed that way to me.
This is turning into a long rant, so I'll end it again saying that what if there was a two, or even three year period between Madden releases with roster updates and patches in between? Does anyone else think that might help churn out better improvements to a game that, when broken down, has somewhat stagnated? /endRantComment

Re: Future Head Coach Games?
It might help to really imporve the game, but EA probably won't do it cuz they loose so much money in the years in between releases.Comment

Re: Future Head Coach Games?
They have to release it yearly, but I wouldn't mind seeing them go the CoD route and have them use two studios to make the game. Have Tiburon make Madden 10, then someone else (EA Canada?) make 11, back to Tiburon and so forth. 2 year development cycle plus a yearly releas.eComment
