I had my doubts about this game but after seeing the on the field trailer I am stoked. If they get the high level of customization required so that we can create our favorite teams and players to at least a 90 to 95% accuracy I don't see how this game can fail. The action just looks so much more robust and in your face than Madden. The sweeping view of the stadium looks just like a NFL stadium and it seems like its captured the atmosphere and excitement of a actual football game. Something 2k5 did well but Madden has never been able to do. I hope that the control scheme is smooth and easy to pick up. I also hope that the AI responds realistically so that we have a viable subsitute for Madden. I think with a lot of the negative response to Madden this year concerning outdated graphics, gameplay, and physics that BB is primed to carve out a nice niche for itself in the football video game community. I for one am sold already and look forward to playing my friends and family when you see one of those big hits or crazy runs.

Allbthere is correct and you have no idea what you are talking about. Learn to accept when you are wrong. Now who exactly sounds like the arrogant one, here? There were two key words I said at the beginning of my second sentence "I ...believe" meaning that it is an OPINION not fact yet you come at me talking stating "you're talking out of your behind man" and "it's just arrogant to ASSUME..." as if what YOU are stating IS fact, eh? Aren't YOU assuming as well? But I bet you're not calling yourself arrogant for what you ASSUME or even arrogant for attacking me as if what YOU are stating is the fact of all facts. At least I stated that what I was saying is something I believe which SHOULD be ASSUMED to be an opinion. Or is it a FACT that stating that what I believe is an opinion when using the very words "I believe"? Or am I NOT entitled to MY opinion just like YOU are entitled to YOUR opinion? Go riddle yourself with that one, child.
Yea, I love idiotic, hypocrites...Comment

allBthere - Touched a nerve? Nah, I just stood up for myself (I have a right to that, correct?) since YOU decided to attack my opinion as if what YOU have to say is the absolute truth. Learn what is being pointed out to you and your hypocrisy. Obviously what I said touched a nerve for you to come at me because you felt I was "talking out of my behind" and "arrogant to ASSUME". Get over yourself. I didn't start this. YOU did.
Phobia - So allBthere is absolutely correct and I am wrong, eh? Don't co-sign on an opinion as if it is fact then try to go at some one else as if their opinion is completely wrong, dear boy. Neither you, all nor myself know the absolute truth. I have a right to speculation just like anyone else and didn't declare what I said was an absolute fact but I didn't attack allB as if what I speculate is the truth like he did with me. How about you learn to grow up and realize what is being said here?Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....Comment

I wanna hear the color commentary team, if there is one... Wouldn't it be amazing if they got 2K's color team? Haha. That would be the icing on the cake. Those two had great chemistry.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Trailer: On the Field
Most of us are guessing that there isn't any. A developer may have even confirmed this, I can't remember off-hand. They're going for an 'on the field' experience, so I'm thinking the only announcer we'll hear will be the PA guy.
From what I understand though, they're really putting a lot into the audio which is great, so hopefully it adds to the immersion enough that we don't miss play-by-play etc.
I'm really interested to see if they go with a pre-release demo.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Trailer: On the Field
Crappy... I guess it don't really affect me as I don't have any consoles, but this is def a game I'm keeping my eyes on. I miss football gaming big time.
EDIT: Ok... So I just thought of something... It really won't suck if you get like coach and player chatter. Like you can hear your coach telling you what they are seeing up in video. Say... "#22 is playing off his man, you can beat him with some quick ins and outs." "#56 is being over-aggressive, a screen to that side could get big yardage."Last edited by eXperiment63; 01-08-2010, 01:49 PM.Comment

Oh boy, I hope they don't.

...the announcing would fold up quicker than an over-caffinated, origami artist.
It sounds like we'll hear grunting and breathing and footsteps. IF they add a bit of vocals that sound plausible plus the PA guy, that could be just fine by me. Announcing might seem odd given the Gears-style roadie cam.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Trailer: On the Field
Right now, this is definitely giving an arcade feel, but some of the animations are extremely high quality.
I will keep my eye on it, though. If they can fix some of this stuff and the player models, it'll be a buy.Too Old To Game Club
