Will the custom music play while warming up? This would make bringing in a closer amazing as you wouldn't just be hearing a 15 second clip.

Actually, I think it means something. Pitchers have different timings, so getting to throw some pitches with a new pitcher should help with getting that timing down. I always struggle for a few pitches with a new reliever when I've become used to the starters motion for 6 innings.

So besides great attention to detail, it will be useful as well.

Do some pitching motions still have that "crazy fast" motion out of the stretch? Thank god warm ups are in, but they need to find a way to slow down the meter!

Exactly why it was added.(plus the fact you see it in the real MLB of course.)

Any word yet on whether we can use custom rosters for our online seasons?

Yeah, nothing like bringing in a reliever with a quick slide step delivery with runners on and throwing a first pitch mistake because you're used to the previous pitcher's slower delivery.

I agree 100%. I guess what I meant in my post is that since the Intellivision days of baseball, there has never been a US game I played that allowed this to happen. Since I have never had it, I have never missed it.

With that said, I think it will be a great addition to this title. This will good for the meter pitching players because they will be able to get used to that specific pitcher's meter and how it functions before coming into a pressure situation.

For classic players (myself), since you don't have to worry about timing as it is attributes based, you will at least get the chance to see which pitch is working best that particular day.

I like the addition. I wonder if it has any effect on how those pitches work that day? You get 8-10 pitches and you can work on 2 or 3 pitches. For every time you hit the mark your confidence in that pitch goes up. Likewise it goes down if you miss. Not sure if that could be done with classic pitching, but would be cool nonetheless.

Sounds like you never played MLB Power Pros, then. That game had some pretty good features that I don't expect any of these games to have for the next few years just yet.

I have not played MLB Power Pros. While I certainly understand a need for those games, I can't get into it unless it is a sim-like game.

LOL. Power Pros needs to dump the short arm players. Hopefully next year.

Now Jim, I think I may have acknowledged once a couple of years ago that the arms looked slightly off, but it has never been a complaint of mine and has not had any affect on my experience with the game. In fact, you won't notice many, if any, complaints from me on The Show. Love the game!

Power Pros is very sim in every way with the exception of the artistic intent drawing towards... I don't know what the word is... but they have a Japanese cartoon feel to them is all. Otherwise, I could spit out some very realistic results in that game.
