And within that he would have a potential for target passer, cannon arm, scrambler, and all around passer. These would have their potential. He would have a potential in precision passer and c potential in cannon arm. And he would have higher potential to be a precision passer and would need to play into that to progress. Also this strategy would be good for developinG system players. Every football player has high potential but they all have the potential to be better in different areas. The qb would progress quicker in the accuracy ratings moreso than the throw power rating. And in order to gain ratings in the cannon arm stats, throw power, the qb would have to complete longer passes. If the qb has a bad season or half season they lose rating in which ever category of player they are. Hope this makes sense. This way a player is rewarded with playing within his skill set and can progress accordingly rather than just hiTting a barrier. Also if players are playing out of their skill set they can be rewarded but its much harder to develop into that skill set. For example a linebacker can be a pass rush specialist and can excel their. But wanted to become a cover linebacker he would have to be put in situations that have him covering te etc. If he does well he gets a boost in ratings if not his ratings in that category get lowered. Also you would need a balanced skill set potential. These would be like Peyton Manning, Chris Johnson, and all the players who do everything well. It would be much harder to keep them from declining but they will have the rating to keep them playing well. Also it helps when players age within a franchise if you can develop them into role players specifically. Sorry this post is long and I hope this doesn't sound like an idion wrote it. I t typed this on my cell. I may go back and edit later on the computer when I get off but I didn't want to lose this idea.

Yes! Bring back player roles! I dunno about the rest of your article, but i definitely agree with that part!
