Other than a lame attempt to take a shot at Madden how is that remotely relevant?

I like some of what I see. If and when it does indeed come out, I will purchase it. My biggest complaint and I know in the grand scheme of things it's totally petty, is the player models really do bother me.

As far as the always passing off the back foot, and not losing accuracy stuff, going to wait until the game is in it's final form before I worry about that kind of thing.

I don't think that's petty at all. I think it's a very serious concern. I mean, after all you're going to have to look at them all game long.

When you look at the prototype/Tech Demo, you notice that the models there are very similar to what they are now. There could be technical reasons in regards to their system as to why they kept them this way, or it could just be a futuristic theme they're going for, as they claim.

I can understand trying a different angle. They probably figured that they needed some kind of different look/wrinkle to stand out.

When I look at the player models, I can't seem to take this game seriously enough to think it will be worth $60. Hope I'm wrong.

i cant wait for this game. the possibilities look endless. the passing off the back foot isnt bothering me cuz ive only seen quick short passes being done. hopefully they do have some way of punishing accuracy for this for longer passes and even shorter ones.

the only bad ive seen is the juke moves look awful and stiff. its like the upper body and waist doesnt move when they juke. they do a few stutter steps standing straight up. other than that tho, its looking good.

Is it me or does it look like it's still in the beta stage. Players all look like identical robots?

although it won't be a HUGE difference for some.....I do think that seeing some of these players in familiar colors will help some get more comfortable with its visuals.....sure the Pads and visors will still be a problem for some, but this is kinda of what it might look like thankx to some talented artist/gamers on the net.

here is an example of a helmet created by a gaming website 1up back in 2007, so the game will look different...

M08 wasn't on the field. you had the same camera etc. In this game you hear footsteps, the heartbeat while focused ..it's like gears of war. I don't like how much Madden is being brought up in these threads. I don't want another madden, I don't like madden, i don't think it plays a good game of football too. I'm looking forward to something different.

It looks like they've got some stuff to work out, but the game should be enjoyable. I hope.

Is this supposed to be more of a sim style game or is this like the classic NFL Blitz games? I can see why people would be anticipating the release of this game if it could over-throw Madden but the trailer looks like Blitz to me.

From what I've seen it seems somewhere in the middle.

For some reason when I first saw the footage, the movements looked really similar to the early PS2 Madden/NCAA games. I really like how players lean into their turns like they did in ea's earlier games. I also saw some cuts/foot plants that looked similar as well. The movements are looking good so far from what I see.
