Which young QB should I stick with?

QB A: very mobile (B speed) good arm (84) decent accuracy (81)

QB B: mobile (C speed) decent arm (80) good accuracy (87)

I'm torn. QB A is a RSFR, QB B is a RSSO. QB B played the last 4 games of my previous season when my senior QB at the time went down with an injury, he did ok (3-1, Fiesta Bowl Champ) but his stats weren't all of that. His arm doesn't get the ball downfield the way I'd like it to, WR's often having to come back to the ball or wait for it to make a catch. This especially affects my 95spd WR, who can get open on seam routes but doesn't get the ball on time.

They are both 82 OVR, and right now I have QB A as my starter. The plus with him is he has the better arm and can better make the throws downfield, his accuracy though is very inconsistent: TE was open on a post route reaching the endzone and the throw was so much in front of him that a cb picked it.

I run a balance PB, so I do everything from Ace, I, Split-Backs, and Shotgun to even some Wish and Flex.

So I ask for your advice, which QB would you stick with?

(Note: I lost my 1st game of the season with QB A, and being that I went 3-1 with QB B last season, I have started to wonder about this)

Personally, I would use B. Better accuracy means less turnovers, and less turnovers usually means more wins. Find other ways to get your star WR the ball in space on short throws, screens, etc.

    Or...two QB system.

I could definitely run a 2QB system with the faster QB being my "option" QB, I've ran this in the past with some success. However, I'd really like to stick with just one guy.

Thanks for the input, hope to get some more responses

i would use qb a at shotgun and qb b under center. depending on which one i use more would determine the starter

I'd stick with QB1. He's younger and is close in skill set to QB2. Take some lumps with him while he's young cause QB2 doesnt sound like hes a wayyy better QB. He has more upside and an extra year.

ok, let's pretend the 2qb system isn't an option, which QB would be the best choice?

When i need to replcae a qb if i have a freshman that could be a 4 year starter i always pick him. That way when he is a senio you could possibley ahve a 99 qb and a good chance at a nc. so my pick is a.

definately A. that speed with the quarterback makes him much better. but on a side note, i use that same playbook occasionally and i have my better throwing quarterback for the regular formations and put the fast guy in the wishbone and flexbone.

See I'd usually do that if my B QB was a much better QB, but they are almost identical (although different) in talent, I thinkl I may stick with A.

I have a QB similar to your A and he has given me so many more options than any QB I have used yet. His ability to run really helps extend drives, especially since my running game is really lacking so far. I can't seem to bring in that star back yet, but hopefully this season. Anyway, I never ran much with my QB last season and he had sub par stats. He finished something like 14 TD's to 18 INT's. He got a boost in speed in the off season though and now is really running the ball a lot. I have never really run the option play that much in the past, but he makes it an actual option. I like him so much, that I am really pushing hard to draft a scrambling QB to replace him for next season.

Yeah I gave QB A a vote of confidence and I've gone 4-0 in my last four games after the initial loss.

Let's see how he does my next game vs Cal, they have a high rated defense. And yes, having the option of running with your QB when no receivers are open is a thing of beauty. It allows you to extend drives.

I am starting to have second thoughts on my scrambling QB. He has given up 6 Int in the last two games, 8 in the last 3, and has only scored maybe 3 TD's in that time. Even though he is a senior, he is one more bad game away from sitting the rest of the season and letting the Junior get a shot. I am pretty sure that I will not be able to win the division, and a good bowl game is falling fast, so letting the junior get some reps in might not be the worst thing in the world. I will certainly miss his ability to make something happen with his legs though.
