Who will be the next team to debut in the superbowl?

Now that New Orleans is now in the superbowl, there are four teams left that haven't been in the superbowl. Out of those four teams (Texans, Jaguars, Browns, and Lions), who will debut in the next superbowl?

    1. Texans
    2. Browns
    3. Jaguars
    4. Lions

There's absolutely no way to tell.

None of the four teams are anywhere close to Super Bowl level. With a good draft and quality free agent pick ups the Texans could be there in 2-3 years or they could have peaked. The Jags missed their shots in the 90s. The Browns and Lions are both awful with no redeeming value.

Texans are a very good team, just shore up that defense, and that team could go someplace.(1-2 years)

Jags will never go as long as they are in Jacksonville. Nuff said'.

As for my Browns, I got two words for you: Mike Holmgren. That man is a genius. A real leader. Estimation(2 years)

The Lions. Their offense has great potential, but their... defense lacks any firepower to stop other teams' offense. (4 years)

I would say the Texans, but if the Jags get a new head coach and rebuild the defense....they could be a possibility.

        The Browns? Lions?

Any one of those teams could emerge next year and make a run. The Cardinals were in the same boat as those other teams before last season, and now the last two years they've suddenly become contenders. You never know.

That said, the Texans are clearly the closest.

The Browns unfortunately play in Cleveland...which seems to have one of those weird sports curses on them.

              The Lions are the Lions.

As Cebby said, there's no way to tell. The Texans are the closest, so I'd have to go with them to be the next team to debut in the big game. But you really never know.

Texans are the closest to have a cahnce at it. You really can't tell though, if not the Texans, then i guess the Jags. Not really sure about the Browns or Lions though .

The Texans aren't a "Very good" team; they were an above average team for one year.

Most importantly, they play in the AFC. I see little chance that they're getting a bye anytime soon which means that even if they squeak into the playoffs, they'll have to beat 3 of the Colts, Ravens, Chargers, Patriots, Steelers, or another team.

As for my Browns, I got two words for you: Mike Holmgren. That man is a genius. A real leader. Estimation(2 years)
Holmgren needs to make significant improvement to the Browns to even challenge for finishing third in the AFC North.

I would say Houston is closest, but none of them are particularly close.

... and the Texans were an 8-8 non-playoff team the prior 2 seasons.

I'm talking about the Cardinals having been in the same boat as other teams that have never reached the Super Bowl. When you think playoff history and shot to contend for a Championship--removing the past two years--their history has been more dismal than anyone's so it was a huge surprise for them to emerge the way they have.

If it's possible to even SAY this....

Houston was the closest a 9-7 team could be to 13-3.

The offense is ridiculous, even without a solid running game (mainly due to the OL being so banged up this year). The defense is loaded with studs. Mario, DeMeco and Cushing will lead the D that had substantially improved after the first four weeks of the season. They're fast, they get after the run. Just need to add some secondary help.

We're only a couple pieces away (also some maturation from game experience) from being a solid playoff team.
