How long does it take you to play a full season?

I know MLB The Show players get full seasons in. It takes me about a calender year to get through and entire season (have done this 4 times in the past). I pick at it 20-30 games at a time before I break and go play one of my other sports titles. I'm sure the RTP in 10 The Show will slow people down a bit.

it takes like 45 minutes per game so times that by a full season and you've got about 122 hours to play.

So if you play 2 games a day it'll take just over 2 months to play.

for me...about 2 months if I play every single game.

Typically for me I'm usually done with my season by the real all-star break. Then I usually start another but never finish it.

I don't know how the people that play every single game do it... I have more fun when I can play 4-5 seasons, so I usually play one game per series. First half of the season I'll play the first game of each series (mostly night games), then the second half I'll play the last game of each series (more day games).

This allows me to get through a season at a pretty good clip, though it's still not real fast because I've got to play games in my Madden and NBA franchises too.

I play every game of my first season or two which gets me to about July through 2 seasons. Then I start simming games in an effort to complete more and more seasons.

It usually takes me around 2 months...It just depends on how well I like the game. I've never been able to complete the second season because I'm usually burned out by that time.

I always play the last game of every 3-game series and the last 2 games of every 4-game series. That way I still play enough games that I feel like I earned my record at the end of the season but I can still get through several seasons in my franchise. I play every postseason game, though.

Ah, there is your problem. I generally only play baseball games, so if I don't have to share time across the football and basketball dynasties, I can focus solely on the Show and thus get through 2 or so seasons. I plan on getting three this year since I have no kids haha. Once I have kids, well the number of games will most likely be cut down to almost nil.

As long as you have the energy to do your gaming later at night, you shouldn't see a huge dropoff in games played. The in-game-save in The Show is a God send. Really, the only games I have seen a dropoff in is my football, b/c they take so long and no in game save. I need the mental energy and the time, and I rarely have both with the kid around.

In past baseball games I would just play 81 game season as it seemed more realistic because video game stats are inflated. Plus I like to play every single game. I could get a season done in 2 months this way as well.

For each 3 game series, I play the game with the most intriguing pitching matchup, manage one game, and sim one game.

I really hope the manager mode is fixed because the AI made consistent boneheaded decisions. For one, your hitters almost always swing on 3-0 counts, which drove me nuts. Also, there is a glitch where whenever a hitter fouls off a pitch with 2 strikes, he almost always strikes out.

but to answer the question more simply: play 1, manage 1, sim 1.
