Pro Bowl Thread

I'm surprised there isn't a Pro Bowl thread yet, at any rate there are 7 players on the Saints and 7 players on the Colts that obviously won't be playing in the Pro Bowl in Miami this year, a well as 17 other players for a "variety of reasons" according to ESPN. For a grand total of 31 players that are being replaced.

At any rate some are saying that the NFL players are spoiled and many aren't showing up since it's not a vacation in Hawaii, and others are saying that the Pro Bowl just doesn't matter anymore.

What should the NFL do about this? Maybe the conference that wins the Pro Bowl wears home colors during the Super Bowl or auto wins the coin toss etc?

What incentive can the NFL give to the 17 players that aren't playing (not including the Colts and Saints players) to actually show up and play in the Pro Bowl each year?

there is no incentive to play, and it's actually a bad idea to encourage the presence of an actual game. fans don't care, the players don't care, it's really only an honor on paper.

what they should do is just name the teams and maybe announce the regular season awards at a banquet.

but as it stands, it makes no sense for any of the players to play. some of them have been off for weeks now, and others have just finished a grueling playoff slate, only to turn around and play a meaningless game that will never help their team or legacy, but could add unwarranted wear and tear on their bodies.

They should just scrap it.

Announce an All-Pro team and be done with it. Nobody cares.

Yeah I never could get into the pro bowl but, I am watching the practices. OMG OchoCinco and Dieon Sanders was hilarious yesterday. They had Ocho to interview the players while Dieon was coaching him up.

AFC's secondary is stacked.

These Pro bowl practices are probably going to be more interesting than the actual game. This has been very entertaining for the most part.

Pretty funny interviews.

Man some of this stuff has been gold. MJD's interview with Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson was hilarious.

MJD: "So, what are you guys gonna do when you get the 20 g's?"

AP: "I don't know yet. I haven't thought about it."

MJD: "So you guys are gonna get the 20 g's?"

AP: "Oh yeah. We're gonna get the 20 g's."

It's funny once you realize the losers of the Pro Bowl get 20 g's.

Also Rich, Deion and Michael Irvin talking to Nnamdi was great too. Once Rich brought up that Nnamdi was on Friday Night Lights, Deion said "Well your doing a good job of acting. Acting like you want to be in Oakland".

The practices on NFL Network have been more entertaining than the actual game is gonna be.

Yeah those was the best ones so far today. Deion and Micheal are just priceless when there together.

Been watching these practices just for the laughs. Rich, Prime, and the Playmaker are too funny. Best part so far has to be when Ochocinco busted out his new hit "Girl, you trippin" with beats from Prime. Still wish they had the skills competition though. Want to see Pocket Hercules back up his statement that he is faster than Chris Johnson.
