I just had a redonkulously fun series. I have not stopped playing this game since it came out (except for a brief period when I was playing CODMW2)

I'll set it up this way..

2010, I was playing with the Yankees. I was 2-3 games out of the wild card at the trade deadline. Rays were in first and Sox in 2nd (sox ended up winning 15 straight games to win the division, I took 2-of-3 from the Rays to end the season and capture the wild card)

Anyway...Nick Swisher was hitting under .200. I think he was at .198 with 18 hr. I was able to package Swisher, Edwar Ramirez and Francisco Cervelli for Shin-Soo Choo from the Indians, who was hitting about .260 with 15 or so Hr.

This allowed me to call up Montero to back up Posada.


Fast forward to the world series. I always play all of my playoff games. After quickly despatching of the Angels in 3, and the Rays in 5, I had to face the Dodgers in the World Series.

I absolutely could not get Manny Ramirez out, so I dropped the first 2 games, then won the next 3, before being shut out in game 6, and winning it on the road in game 7.

Series MVP? Shin-soo Choo...who went crazy. 6 homeruns, including 3 in game 7. Overall he hit .576 with 6 HR and 13 rbi.

To add to it, Montero, who I called up to replace Cervelli, hit a pinch-hit 3-run homerun in game 1 to tie the game (even though I ended up losing, it was awesome).


I play on default ALL STAR using a mix of Knight's rosters with some updates I made manually.

I only made it to the World Series once in 09 and it was pretty absurd. I was the Yanks, CPU was the Cards.

I went up 2-0 then the Cards had four straight wins where they were losing in the 9th inning and either tied or won the game in the 9th, the rest they won in extras. Three of the times it involved a game-tying HR off Mo. I can't remember who the batters were but they weren't sluggers, one time it was their #9 hitter who hit less than 10 dingers in the regular season. Pretty frustrating.

I haven't made a world series since Triple Play 98 on the original playstation, and I won it 4-0. It's been so long I can't even remember what it was like.

Maybe if Braves fans did not worry so much about stadium details and worried more about winning ball games, they could actually see the World series in the game!

the last time i made the world series was the show 07, and it was a subway series world series. I was the yanks played the mets in 7 games and i won in game 7. Since then haven't made the WS though, in the show 08 got eliminated by the angels in the division series. And in 09 i waited so long for kinights rosters and kept restarting my franchise that i havent gotten a chance to finish my franchise

Maybe if Braves fans did not worry so much about stadium details and worried more about winning ball games, they could actually see the World series in the game!

We may not be a NL East contender anymore, but atleast our stadium is up to date and not missing a flower bed like the Phillies stadium is.(haha j/k I know they had it in, but had to take it out at the last minute)

Is Choo the new Mr. October? I don't think I've ever hit 3 HR's in a game with anyone in '09, to do it in game 7 of the WS is crazy.

It was the 3rd time I've hit at least 3 homeruns in a game with the Show. It was the first time I've done it on All Star mode.

I did it twice on veteran...once with Rick Ankiel (4) against the cubs, and once with Albert Pujols against the Astros (3) ...that one was online, though.

I'm playing as the Rangers, so I haven't been to the World Series. I'm starting my second season now, getting off a terrible Division Series against the Yankees (3-1).

Sorry i just gotta put this in here. But back on topic, the best WS I've had was in MLB 06 the Show with the cards, beat out the Red Sox in 6 with the Cards.

I had a season in the Show 08 with my friend. He was the White Sox and I was the Indians. We each made the ALCS, which turned out to be a crazy series. During the season we went 9-9 head to head and the ALCS was back and forth. It went to game 7, which I won in extra innings.

I faced the Braves in the WS and promptly lost the first three games. I won the next four in a row, culminating with a CG W by CC Sabathia. Quite a thrilling playoff run with a lot of tense moments. I was down in gm 5 or 6 (can't remember) but got a 3 run HR from Hafner in the 7th inning to pull out a win.

Game 7. 2015 Reds. Backup SS pinch hits in the bottom of the 9th, down by 1. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Single up the middle and we win. The end.
