Overtime Issues - Re: Confusion
Twice now this has happened to me... There is either a buzzer beater shot to tie the game or a buzzer beater shot misses in a tie game both resulting in Overtime. But the announcers think the game is over and the coaches shake hands and everybody acts like the game is over. Then the screen just gets stuck and the game does not go into overtime and someone has to quit and get a loss and a DNF (online). Thanks a lot EA.. you really did a great job with that one.Tags: None -
Re: Overtime Issues - Re: Confusion
Its due to a goal tending glitch...the points usually don't get counted on the screen but actually get counted in the game. So it may say you're up 2 but it could actually be tiedComment

Re: Overtime Issues - Re: Confusion
Yeah, I've pretty much noticed a hit and miss with goaltending (which has been a known issue). It seems that sometimes it'll get counted and sometimes it won't. There have been times where its been counted on the scoreboard, other times where it wasn't documented on the score but actually counted, and times where it didn't count period. It really sucks but you should probably turn off goaltending if you don't to possibly get screwed over in a game. I know one time I thought I was up by 2 so the other team wasn't fouling, turns out it was actually tied and I threw up a stupid shot because I thought I was winning.Comment

Re: Overtime Issues - Re: Confusion
Not sure if this has been covered but I was up a point and got the ball back with 35 seconds to go. The CPU didn't try to foul me as it must have thought it was going to get the ball back with a fraction of a second. I wanted to avoid a potential shot clock violation so I threw a shot up with 1 second to go (rimmed out).
Play ends and I GO TO OVERTIME leading 64-63! This was in the 2nd year of my Dynasty.Comment

I would just turn Goaltending off and restrain yourself from knocking every ball out of the air. That's what I did.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Overtime Issues - Re: Confusion
I remember a game where I was down by 6 to Kentucky in the 4th with a few seconds left. Fouled Kentucky and sent John Wall to the line where he made both baskets. Got the ball back but time expired and we...went..into..OVERTIME even though I was losing by 8!National Champions: 96', 06', 08'Comment

You can check the official score of a game if you can access the replay. Just about every stadium has an official scoreboard. If you can access a replay then try and zoom in on the score board and it will give you the official score of the game.Comment
