Re: Major League Baseball 2K10: A Live Journal (Gameinformer)

why would you as a pitcher in my player intentionally try to walk someone ? that makes no sense. And to the fella who said no walks. Its a user-only pitching with the mindset of i have nothing overpowering here. Im just going to attack the zone enough to where im not laying meatballs & let my teammates make a play. That is the reason for no balls or walks.

& to the guy who questioned 2ks quote about the batter vs pitcher duel .. it clearly says battle. The user is having battles obviously if he is chuckin around 90 balls a game. and still not pitching Sim style.

Again check MMChrisS hands on. He threw a walk and more than likely with the right settings we can get decent walks.
        I hope.

While that's true, gone are the days of 2K3 and 2K4 where there was a "variable pitching" setting that would take away pinpoint accuracy from where you are targeting your pitch. Now see, we can control the speed of our meter or whatever it is we have to, but if we perfect it, we paint our spot always. Therein lies the problem.

Not only that, but not since 2K4 (or was it 2K5?) have we been able to hide our pitching cursor. For the life of me, I have no idea whey they haven't given us that option.

Holy crap, can we relax a bit here. Its one guy playing the game. He seamed to not know much about baseball, so I seriously doubt he was working the count realistically. He was probably trying to throw everything right down the middle. As for the screens, are you kidding me? You can't tell that they are shot off screen by a camera? Come on now.

Lol, one would think the extreme glare would have given it away, but I guess I should stop being surprised by folks around here. NOTHING should be assumed obvious anymore

You're right about that. Somethings need to be be pointed out to some members on here lol. I knew it was a terrible picture, but didn't say anything as it looked blurry. It was quite obvious lol.

He started the blog on the 3rd (Day 1). It ended with:
And would you look at that. I can demand a trade to a team of my choice. Deep down inside, I know I'm supposed to be an Oriole, but I'm going to hang tight with the Cubs for now.
Day 2 was the 4th, and started: "My Smokies got off to a hot start..."

I disagree. From the writer's comments, he's a big fan of baseball and knows the game. And if you mean he has no clue towards playing the game, then that's even worse. Someone who has no clue, playing with a new created player and still throwing 85%+ strikes when he's not nailing his gestures...is a complete joke. Especially from a company touting that the game is all about the batter vs pitcher.
