Re: MLB '10: The Show Gameplay Video (1up)
Yeah, the lack of pitch speed on the scoring line caught my eye. I guess they expect you to view the speed on the strike zone locator while you're playing, but it kinda sucks that there's no apparent way to view the speed while watching the CPU. Not sure if they meant to take it off or if it was an accident they made while modifying the ticker.
On another note, since the stadiums were locked before it was pointed out, does that mean we're stuck with right center at Target Field being labeled 328 ft?Comment

IMO, Commentary has never been The Shows strong suit. The game looks amazing though.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Gameplay Video (1up)
In my opinion..
This game is ahead of it's time and people should stop pointing out the imperfections at this time. There will be a thread called " MLB 11 The Show Wishlist " or something like that and you can dump all your issues there.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not sayin' the people that pick the game apart are wrong, but I just don't think this is the right time for mentioning such things. At least wait 'til after the demo drops, heh..Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Gameplay Video (1up)
It's just a part of this new gaming "era"... people now complain about a game before it even comes out. I even fall into this category every now and then by putting my $0.02 in when it's a small issue. In my opinion..

Re: I think this new is another new clip...
Game looks nuts. I only wish I was able to bat in tv broadcast mode. I will have to go traditional when I bad and broadcast when I pitch.Comment

Re: I think this new is another new clip...
you can bat in broadcast mode. Unless you're talking about not being successful at batting in broadcast mode, in which case, I agree 100%..as I can't hit from that view either.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

No way you can successfully bat in broadcast view, period unless you use timing only.
This isn't like Madden where you can in some degrees, succeed...
In any case not sure you can use broadcast cam for batting..Last edited by Skyboxer; 02-07-2010, 03:51 PM.Joshua:

Re: I think this new is another new clip...
BROADCAST is a FIELDING VIEW. It's what takes place AFTER the ball is hit.
You can "go traditional" (the standard options, behind the catcher/offset/pitcher, etc.) when you bat, but you still have to choose a camera view...LOW/MEDIUM/BROADCAST/HIGH before you play the game. From what you're saying, when you pitch you will go into OPTIONS every time and change the fielding view???
You can bat in BROADCAST mode (with the traditional batting view options). That would certainly be the way to go if you want to enjoy the glory of seeing more of the field/action on, etc.Comment

Re: I think this new is another new clip...
Oh, I was referring to the view from behind the pitcher that looks very much identical to an mlb broadcast. I'd love that view for pitching, but with batting I need the behind the catcher angle. There has to be an option to have that cool tv like view when I'm pitching and then have it switch to the traditional behind the catcher batting view when my teams up to bat without me having to do it manually every half inning right? I seem to recall that being an option for many baseball video games before dating back to the ps2 days.BROADCAST is a FIELDING VIEW. It's what takes place AFTER the ball is hit.
