    Classic baseball games

Clutch hitter was the first baseball video game I played. I believe it was ahead of its time. This is the arcade version. I also had it for Game Gear. It came out in 1991.

This site lists it as 1989...but I think it was actually released in 1987....

I go way back with these, but this game (not all that long ago) I just loved. Notice the fielding animation of the RFer when he fields the ball and throws it in. Loved the game.
Bought a Gamecube just for it.

One more. Bought the Sega Saturn for this one. Seems I bought many a system just for the baseball games.

By the way. Never heard of CLUTCH HITTER, but it doesn't look like a half bad game for the day.

Good call Jim. I always wanted that game. But I didn't want to buy the Saturn. And the Gamecube one was a good game too. Clutch Hitter was a real good game. I played that at the arcade. I like Sports Talk Baseball. But my all time favorite is either HardBall 3 or Bases Loaded.

Agreed. The PC version that I had (Tony LaRussa 3) was even better.

Thanks Jim. That was my game. Had blast and still have the stats for that game at my grandma's house. It was so much fun. I think next to Bases Loaded and Hard Ball 3, it would have to be RBI for the Nintendo. Or a another game I had a blast with was Tommy L Baseball for Sega. Coft was beast in that game. I think it was either Will Clark or Mitchell. I can't remember. The very first Triple Play for PS1, was a great game too. It didn't have the real players or teams if I correct?

                        YES!YES!

Wow I played this game soo much. So much my mom actually took the game away, and I never ever saw it again. I was pissed.

What I remember, was playing a full season, and that it had stat tracking throughout

I remember the text in all the early EA Sports titles made it feel like you were playing an RPG game.

I think this was the first "next generation" graphics to hit baseball. I remember being "wowed" by the graphics in this game.
