Favorite and Least Favorite Stadium to play in?

What was everyone's favorite stadium to play in with 09?

I played the majority of my games in Yankee Stadium because I usually did my franchises with them, but my other favorites:

Turner Field (Lighting was AMAZING and it had a great hitters background)

PetCO Park in San Diego ... that place was gorgeous, especially during the day time.

Safeco Field ... Lighting there was fantastic, and I really enjoyed pitching in the spacious park.

    Least favorites:

Toronto ... always had a big, white, annoying advertisement behind home plate which made it tough on the eyes.

Minnesota ... I'm glad they are replacing this dull park with Target Field

Orioles Park ... I had a difficult time hitting there, especially in day games, because of the light reflection off of the back wall.

    Nice thread!

For me, my favorite was probably AT&T Park in SF...I just love the whole ambiance. I actually like Great American Ballpark in Cincy too.

Least favorite, unfortunately, was Citi Field. Through no fault of SCEA, it was probably the most boring park to look at visually. Oakland sucks too...it's a shame because before the Raiders moved back to Oakland, the Coliseum was actually a pretty ballpark.

    But not this year!!!

              Favourites:

Fenway Park - Gotta love the Green Monster.
U.S. Cellular Field - I thought it looked really good in '09.

              Least Favourites:

Rogers Centre - My home ballpark. I didn't think the stadium was done particularly well overall, and the roof always being open was disappointing. I might pick a different team in '10 or use one of the classic ballparks as a substitute.
Rangers Ballpark in Arlington - Nice looking stadium, but I found it hard to hit in during the early innings of night games due to the lighting. I just couldn't see the ball very well.

The park could be the Garden of Eden in terms of beauty and I'd still hate it.

                Too many bad memories....

On a positive note and as you said...Citi Field looks to be FANTASTIC in '10!

Favorites: Comerica Park, even though its hard to hit homers in that stadium b/c it is so deep, and Camden Yards

Dislike: Metrodome, being a Tiger Fan I am so glad this stadium is no more in game or in real life.

Favorites: PNC Park in Pittsburgh, just beautiful!, Fenway, Wrigley (with the varying degrees of Ivy on the wall depending on what part of the season you are in)

Least Favorite: Metrodome (hey it is depressing and dark in real life, so in a way they did a nice job with it, ha ha), Citi (too generic but it was only year one), Rogers would have to make the list as well.

As Mets fans we are legally obligated to hate Turner. Does anyone remember in some other baseball game I can't remember. Balls used to disappear on the warning track at Turner field for some reason. By this I mean the ball marker would go "under" the warning track and cause you to miss easy flies to the track. Used to cost me games & drive me nuts and yet since I was the Mets it felt oddly realistic. Anyone remember what game this was?

You sure that wasn't the actual Mets v Braves from 1997-2005?

Re: Favorite and Least Favorite Stadium to play in?

from an "as seen as TV standpoint" I am really disappointed with Citi Field. People pump millions of dollars into these stadiums and they have the opportunity to create something unique and special, and visually stunning. Citi seems bland and uncreative. I mean, the most unique aspect of Citi is the color of the outfield walls.

in fact, a lot of new stadiums, although very nice, lack creativity. Nationals Park, new Busch, Comerica, Petco, Coors, Jacobs all look fairly similar. I almost added Citizens Bank to that list but it has more charm and individuality. dont get me wrong, these are great new parks, I just feel like they are a bit generic.

which brings me to my favorite stadiums to play in, which are anything but generic:

                          1. Camden Yards- gorgeous. the lighting is fantastic. The O's are a usual top choice when starting a fantasy draft 'chise (because of the stadium)

                          2. AT&T- the nicest field I've been to in person, and one of the nicest in the game. I just really like the feel of playing here.

                          3. PNC- great lighting, spectacular backdrop, nice color scheme with the green. great park.

                          4. Great American Ballpark- not a popular choice, but I really like this stadium. The whole open feel of center & right field is great and the whole smokestack/river combo adds a unique dimension.

                          5. Kaufman- gorgeous, majestic. I wish for the royals to return to glory- big playoff games must be so epic at this field.

My favorite stadiums to play in are Citizens Bank Park and PNC Park. PNC Park is absolutely beautiful in person. Made the drive from Philly to Pittsburgh last summer to catch a Phillies/Pirates game. Found myself paying more attention to the view than the game. lol.

My least favorite would probably have to be Citi Field. No, not just because I'm a Phillies fan and dislike the Mets, but because the park just seems so bland in '09. From the pictures in '10, though, Citi Field looks to be much nicer.

I love playing a PNC and Coors. My least favorite is definitely Rogers Center. Can't stand the message board behind the plate when pitching, always a distraction.
