    Aikmen's got my vote too, but I'm not sure if his commentary would carry over well. I think he might sound too Hammond like. They need guys who greatly alter the pitch of their voice, and Troy/Buck don't fall into that category.

    They need 'banter'. Commentary without banter = fail. Banter driven commentary surrounding the league, coaches, players, franchise(s), league news, etc and punctuated with game based information is the formula for success. I have yet to see that in ANY EA title (though I have not played their college hoops).

            The Strike through Hammond's name hopefully means he's gone. The thing that bothers me the most about him is how he mispronounces player names... It's not like he's at the game announcing live.. why doesn't someone recording him correct him when he reads the name? How does that get into the game?

                    How about the Vikings announcer Paul Allen? Guy has a really energetic voice. Or the Chiefs announcer! That may not translate well to a broadcast style though. I just like both those guys.

                            I'm enjoying all the commentary talk. The big key to me is Madden gets a real team that we all hear on tv.

                            I think these are all the big name tv guys for each network?

                            Ranked in () of my favorite

                            Fox- Aikman and Buck (1)
                            CBS- Jim and Simms (4)
                            NBC- Collinsworth and Michaels (2)
                            ESPN- Trico, Gruden, Jaws (3)
                            NFL Network- Hammond and Gumbel (5)

                            Not sure if i got em right. Michaels is my favorite, but Collinsworth brings them down to #2

                                        NFL Network is Bob Papa and Matt Millen. You might as well cross them off the list immediately.

                                        I have a feeling Hammond didn't get cut from the game though. It would be more work to get a new guy in and get him doing lines than it would be to just build on the commentary Hammond already has in place.

                                            Who cares. Its just the same hype they are trying to build up every year. They talk a good game but cant deliver one. Madden will NEVER be good until they get rid of those god awful animations and fix the AI on both sides,especially the OL/DL. I've lost all hope for this franchise until they can prove otherwise. If they can make it as good as they did like last gen,they I'll start buying again.
