Just to clarify a bit Selig didn't just keep baseball in Milwaukee he LITERALLY brought baseball back to the city. He bought the soon to be folded Seattle Pilots and moved them to Milwaukee and kept baseball in that city for a long time. As much of a joke and a man held up for ridicule as he is today he actually did some good things as owner. Few remember that the Brewers were a very good organization through most of the '80s and early '90s. It was only when the money got so out of hand that the franchise went down the drain.
So while I may not be a fan of the statue because he's commish one still has to give him props for being a good owner for most of his tenure.
