Official Remove Run Commit Petition for NCAA11

Please sign here if you agree that the Dev Team should completely remove the run commit feature for NCAA 11.

If you want to play the run, pick a defensive formation and play that does so. Just like it's always been and how it is in real life. Heck EA if anything just make the defensive line audibles (crash, slant r, slant l, pass) a tad more effective.

If you dont agree dont post a reply, this is a petition thread. I know there was a gameplay chat but Russ didn't really discuss what they were going to do with run commit and only suggested to be less predictable.

I hate these "OFFICIAL" (what makes this official) threads and petitions. If you have an idea PM a game dev and maybe they will like it. This is a great site, but the members unfortunately do not represent the majority of consumers that purchase sport video games.

By the way, this is my OFFICIAL opinion.

And i didnt ask for your opinion. Strength is in numbers and if enough people agree it will be noticed. Not everyone will take the time to send a PM to a Dev and this is a quick and easy way for people to show their support.

If "Run Commit" is brought back, they should certainly tweak it a bit.

If you commit to a run and it is a pass, the defenders should still react like it is a run play, and not just maul the QB. If you run commit to the opposite side on an off-tackle or sweep play you should get decimated. Play-action should destroy run commit, not just leave you vulnerable to sacks.

This past game brought a couple of innovative ideas to the table, but overall football strategy is lacking. Maybe individual players could have aggressiveness settings and specific tendencies to automatically spy for a run in predictable situations.

Also, please FIX offensive lines blocking skills and make star players way better than chumps.

Agreed. I don't see the big deal. It's very beatable, and there are flaws with the run commit. Tweak it if you want, but I think it's fine.

I see you're kinda sensitive about your post, but I'm going to ask why do you want it out? You can't just start a "petition" with no support or anything, I don't think you clearly thought this boycott out. I don't wanna follow a chicken with no head...bad metaphor, but I just saw a headless chicken on T.V. and thought it was funny.

P.S. I'm against taking it out, I don't see any reason to take it out.

I don't know why people advocate to remove features anyways. If you want to make a case for the option to turn it on/off, cool. I would be all for that. Options rule. But why remove it?

I would like to see them take it out its not very realistic and I would rather them save the space for anything. I'm like this a penny saved is a penny earned. If they remove enough bad idea(no matter how small) they can add it together to add something actually good. And not only the space but the effort. It bugs me to see valuable development time wasted on none sense like this and season showdown.

For true, sim, straight, online dynasty play against like-minded individuals, this feature is straight BS. Having played football at many levels for many years now, I can't say that I have ever had a play called in that said, " they are going off tackle left, everybody meet there, but you corners and safeties, cover like you know it is going to be a pass." Because that is how the feature works, and it is straight garbage. I can stop the run just fine using my front 7 w/o run commit. Against both user and CPU. If they are going one way, I am reading that most of the time beforehand, and I am already meeting them with PROPER PLAYCALLING. Keep certain aspects of gameplanning intact. The zones is about the only one I will petition for there. Most other are garbage.
