97 is damn near perfect. Neither team, to me, is close to perfect.

I think they are very liberal with the team ratings, but maybe they don't mean much. For instance, I'd have the Yankees rated at a 92 or so, which would be the highest rated team in the game, followed by the Phillies and Red Sox.

And yeah, the Mariners are my team, but an 81 rating seems low. They have the Orioles two points higher than the Mariners... That just doesn't seem right to me. I'd put the Mariners at an 85; one of the better teams but not elite quite yet. I know their lineup holds them back, but their pitching and defense is stellar and their offense might not be too bad.

Just my opinion, I guess.

The team ratings are definitely weird. The Red Sox should not be the same as the Yankees.

Also, the Mariners need to be alot higher.

Oh well, they honestly dont matter at all once a franchise starts up.

The PECOTA predictions will beg to differ on all the "Red Sox should not be ranked as high" as the Yankees arguments.

I have a Yankee fan bias, so yeah.

I would have ranked the Top 5 teams more like this:

1. Yankees - 96
2. Phillies - 94
3. Red Sox - 93
4. LA Dodgers - 90
5. Texas Rangers - 90

It doesnt even really matter anyway. Team ratings are somewhat unimportant.

he said that home run totals areup on pro? If its user controlled it should be. Pro settings on 2K games are rookie settings. Rookie is like toddler. lol I usually play their games on the 2nd hardest level and its more fun for me. I am not a big slider guy though.

If i had home run totals as a user controlled player of 20 home runs in 25 games, then i would be kinda upset. Especially if sliders cant fix it.

I'm sure most of the hr were put up on pro, but I'd like to know really if he was hitting lots on the 3rd highest level be4 he tweaked and made his own difficulty which was something made up between pro and allstar

If he was talking about the cpu hitting that many hr on pro then I'd be concerned. That's what I want to know. If the cpu is hitting a ton of long balls and his playing on pro then I'd be concerned.

I don't play a lot online so user vs. user doesn't matter to me.

I was pointing out saber metrics. You were using bias. Big difference regardless of signature.

Most on here know I am far from a homer. I love baseball first, Red Sox second..

I do agree with number ratings meaning nothing other than serving a purpose for people to disagree with them. They are archaic IMO.

Either way this doesn't bother me. Like I said, if it was the cpu hitting 20 hrs in 25 games then I'd be worried. But, that's why they make sliders...

thats what we want to know

he bashed 3 a game with derek lee twice.

but i want to out of the 20 hrs in 25 gms did he hit on allstar and what he hit on pro. I know hitting hrs on pro in 2k9 was really really easy to do.

I hit 20 or so hrs with David Ortiz last year in 2k9 in about 20 or so games. but that was not on allstar.

In my eyes the inflated ratings of Teams are cause by the Roster player OVR.
I dont know why but from the screens they all bother me seeing there overall.
