Update?

I went to start FIFA and was prompted to download an update. I think it was 10.3. It's 39 MB.

Anyone else getting this? Anyone know what it is?

Like Ezio said its a pre-patch for ultimate team, now release the transfer update and I'll be happy.

I'm getting it too... only problem is I keep getting errors when I try to download it (on PS3).

Yes, UT is next week. Sounds like the title update for UT will go live at the same time for 360.

Does anyone out there care that they completely lied about the transfer update! Not only do they make 0 improvements to a disappointing game, they can't release a transfer up date until a month after it's closed! What a f-ing joke!

Well they did say the 24th of February. There's 24 hours in a day, not just 10. Have patience.

As LiverpoolRed said, please show a little patience. If EA did indeed say the transfer update would be out 2/24/10, last I checked, it's still 2/24/10. I'm tired of waiting as well -- I'm waiting for it to start a new MM after my old one got corrupted -- but there's no need to get worked up if it's not out in the first few hours of the day.


Anyone else having trouble downloading the update? I tried several times over the past few days to DL it on PS3, but it always stops after a few seconds (usually around 16%) then gives me an error message. Any ideas? Has anyone had similar problems DLing title updates in the past?

When have you ever known an update to come out in the middle of the day? I feel like it's a bad precedent to set to not voice displeasure with a) Having 0 gameplay patches...when they could've easily came out with one that fixed, say, input recognition time for headers or b) waiting a month after the transfer window for roster update, especially given a- they used to do it within a week or two if i'm not mistaken. I don't mean to be all rabble-rabble but...Madden, which I've maligned for years has surpassed Fifa in the respect that it's quite good with it's updates. Just seems this team has a proclivity to rest on their laurels.

So is there a squad update available now? I think we all share your disappointment to some degree in regards to the limited post-release support of FIFA (when compared to other sports games at least).

We're good hehe. Sorry to go all tea-party there. Pleased with updates in some respects, although I cannot fathom how Carrick/Scholes tackling ability is so high in relation to their real life counterparts. Scholes is more reasonable but his rating should be such that ur risking a card almost anytime you want to go with a challenge with him. Carrick however is almost a world-class defender here, he's not bad defensively but he's certainly no Roy Keane as they make him out to be. I'm impressed with what they've done with UT...particularly giving me incentive to play against human opponents as against AI is infuriating. The morale system is still piss poor- I've never seen people get so depressed over a draw, much less a loss. Conversely why can't one big win galvanize a team...i find that strange. Moving forward though, I do worry about what ea may lie to us about...i.e. remember how much the "change of the foot" move you were supposed to easily be able to do with a "flick of the right stick"...completely doesn't exist but it would be nice.
