Re: NCAA 11 Info
Do you guys remember our first bit of info we got on NCAA 10? Bowl team specific endzones....EA tricked us into thinking that they were heading in the right direction as far as presentation but in reality they just gave us that bit of info to hype the game for the hardcore crowd. After more info started pouring in like windsocks, season showcrap, etc. Most people knew what kind of game this was going to be.
I really hope they learn from all this and do what the Madden team is doing.. no gimmicks just a solid game. After playing Madden 10, NCAA 10 is unplayable to me.Comment

Re: NCAA 11 Info
And it seems as if some of the Dev. Team that came here misunderstood our displeasure as an insults. But when you see them adding things that clearly doesnt improve the game. Some people really were put off by this. We say get us momentum they say here take Season Showdown. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: NCAA 11 Info
The OP said a few weeks and it hasn't even been a week yet...
I'm being a little optimistic because EA knows if they give us anything but gold they're gonna get ripped a new one by us at OS... Wait... They don't f'in care!... I expect them to build all this anticipation for the first bit of info that we will apparently like. Then, tell us we can put in red turf on team builder...

Re: NCAA 11 Info
I'm not expecting a whole lot, but you know, I actually still play the game and I find it enjoyable. I just know it could be so much better, so I think that's where the disappointment for me lies. The potential is there, they just don't seem to be interested in tapping into all of it. And I'm not necessarily referring to the actual team, but EA as a whole, as I think most of those big design decisions come from the top.
Change up the presentation, and fix the gameplay as far as the twitchy running, rocket throwing, and iffy blocking. I get plowed too often cause my guy decided not to block the guy right in front of him.Comment

Re: NCAA 11 Info
The NCAA team acts like , oh hell, we got to make this damn game again. I am jealous of the madden team. Don't get me wrong, I love and play both games every year but really and truly college football is my first love.
I would think that a company would want to make both games great! Double the sales! And one thing EA should never do is the marketing thing with turning in your NCAA disclaimer for money off to put towards madden when it comes out a month later. THIS IS BULL! They are essentially saying, "here is a game you can play before madden comes out, it ain't worth a sh** but don't worry, we are giving you a discount if you turn this piece of crap in for a real game" WORST MOVE IN MARKETING HISTORY HANDS DOWN! You just made my NCAA game CHEAP! and this pisses me off! Make the damn game so good that you want to keep it, FOREVER, and then when madden comes out buy it too, keep it FOREVER! Tired as hell at the way they treat NCAA, I wish you could report this to local officials calling it abuse, maybe then a game for the most loved sport in the country (college football) would get some love.
Quit mistreating NCAA EA. We all know you know how to make a good football game, quit mistreating NCAA and show it some love. Not only would the game itself get some love from the fans, but you too, EA, just may get some love yourself! That is just the thing the Doctor would order for you, especially with all the License thing going on and the consumers view on that, as well as the Kellar incident We have been behind you EA, and we go to bat for you when the 2K fans bash you. Now, give us something back, WE WANT A DAMN GOOD NCAA 11 FOOTBALL GAME, AND WE DEMAND IT!
IRISH
Looks like a different variation of the name.....anyway, I am in TOTAL agreement with what you said this time.
Yeah, that "trade in NCAA for x-amount off Madden" stinks and tells us all we need to know. I dont see why they want to get Madden sales up so high....it's not like it has any competition anyway. So it's gonna sell what it sells.
But seriously, I wanna know what happened to the people who used to work on this game back in the day. Thy obviously are not still doing so. Or either they are still relegated to PS2Last edited by stoncold32; 02-19-2010, 05:39 PM.Comment

and wasn't that madden trade-in thing a gamestop promotion, and not an EA one? I don't remember other stores doing it.Comment

Re: NCAA 11 Info
If it isn't any major gameplay improvements, then maybe they could at least take the 30 minutes of production to fix the terrible crowds and sidelines. Maybe really realistic and active crowds and sidelines would distract me from the horrid gameplay. maybe.Comment

Re: NCAA 11 Info
Now that I think about it, why should we expect anything from this game?
To me '04 is the greatest, but '02 was good, '03 was really good, and '04 culminated.
The past 3 NCAA's have been so up & down(mostly down) that I shouldn't expect a great effort from '11. We'll see it and wonder what went on in the EA studios for the past year.
On one hand, I almost feel bad bashing on guys like OMT because I know some of the issues with this game come from the EA suits, BUT on the other hand, I refuse to believe for a sec. that the suits are preventing the devs from adding little things like long hair, and other stuff that has been removed from the series.Comment
