Idea to Make Kicking More Rewarding in Madden 11

In my opinion kicking field goals in Madden is way to easy, so I have an idea for Madden 11. They should remove the kicking arrow and make you aim it left or right when you start to kick. Kind of like what some people do now, but the problem with that is it is harder with good kickers. So for kickers with high accuracy the developers should make it where you don't need to aim it as far left/right.

Nope they should just go back to classic Madden style with press button and stop on power and press button to stop on accuracy. The worse the kickers accuracy was. the smaller the box u had to stop in. Tired of playing ppl with Janikoski and he can hit 65 yard kicks, while in real life he has the worst accuracy ever.

That would be nice. In game winning situations, if its like a 40 yard Field Goal, you lose, its impossible to miss them.

if you want to really turn it up add the heart beat effect(using the vibration from the controller) when its to win a game. That make my friends so nervous like real life. Soooo fun

I much prefer the stick compared to using a button press. Pressing a button for field goals is way too oldschool for next-gen.
I think perhaps if they included the accuracy box into the analog stick kick meter, that would be much better. That way long field goals would be much harder as you would have to get your swing right and you would have to be in the accuracy box.

Yea the kicking game does need to be redone to make it mire harder and more interesting for last second game winning kicks and stuff like that

I always had a cool idea I thought for kicking. It would be close to the kicker, but the whole system would be almost exactly like Tiger Woods. You would have a small circle you put on the ground where you aim the ball to land...then you can tap x repeatidly to get more power (just like Tiger Woods) but this would cause it to be less accurate. The right stick would kick and you would have to make it go straight up, just like in Tiger to hit it straight.....if you mess it up it will shank it (just like in Tiger lol)....I think this would make kicking AWESOME!!

I've been asking for this forever. So much better than what we have today.
I also think it would be pretty cool if we had some type of holding mechanic. Like after you press X (or A) to snap the ball, you'd have to press it again for the holder to catch the ball. Based on your timing, you'd either get a perfect hold, a little delay, or a complete drop.

They need to go with APF's method but on field goals, punts & extra points pulling the right stick back controls the long snap so there could be botched long snaps & mishandles.

I have never missed an extra point playing next gen madden and i rarely miss field goals. I agree they should adopt APF's way or go back to meter kicking.

Janikowski did hit from 61 this season, but I do agree it's way too easy, there definitely a problem when I can hit it from 62 routinely

All Pro Football 2K8 had the best kicking system in a football game to date.

Madden 11 needs to copy it.
