MLB THE SHOW 2010 Pitch Edits Thread

I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to put into this but I'll definitely get something done on this so as usual, use this thread to inform me of any off season changes in pitchers arsenals and let me know about any special break that a pitcher has on their pitches.

    According to this article: http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/a...=.jsp&c_id=atl

Kenshin Kawakami has added a 2-seam FB to his arsenal in effort to induce groundballs and lower his pitch counts.

Carlos Zambrano has dropped the cutter from his arsenal. He said he has too much trouble controlling it and he wants to get back to using the sinker more like he did early in his career.

Tim Lincecum rarely if ever throws a 4 seam fastball, always 2 seam. He also does not throw a straight change it is closer to a circle change or split that moves down and away from left hand batters.

Yeah i can't imagine how much time it took for you to do all of that and keep it updated. Compared to what you did with your roster this is nothing

                  Easily...hundreds of hours...

add to that the subjective nature and the other variables that are involved, it's not something that most have the slightest amount of patience for...
but I'm just frustrated because it's become that dreaded and neccessary ritual....

Rangers P Brandon McCarthy is dropping his 4 seamer in favor of a 2-seam fastball. His pitches also include a cutter, slider and changeup.

RAZR..and a big problem for me is going to be the Mets..with ALL of those 2009 injuries, and ALLLL the games these guys missed...there will be more pro-rating for full season stats, for any one team than I've done in a long, long time..

I don't give any credence AT ALL to any and all Spring Training reports about what guy is dropping this pitch, what guy is adding this pitch, etc...

                            Why?

                            Because history tells us that:

                            a) For pitchers, Spring Training games are to experiment with their arsenal, refine with what they have and (with some) to try out new pitches...

                            b) so with that said, the only sure-fire way to know who is using what, is to watch them for a few starts when the regular season starts....because every single season, there are pitchers who scrap what they originally claimed they would/wouldn't do. This saves all of the unneccessary work of going back and forth and back with this stuff....

But you just retired Carew, what else you got going on? Picking up another job to keep yourself busy?

I got a buddy who retired last year and the company re-hired him to work and he makes more now than he did when he retired with the company. Unreal!
