Other than constant injury problems, did he have a decline in production or obvious struggles?

I would imagine that the Browns are going to take a long look at him with Heckert being in Cleveland now.

Yeah, he definitely lost a step. His knee is wrecked.

Thanks for the memories, Brian. The right move, but a sad day nevertheless.

          Man, that's a shame.

Westbrook, when healthy, was easily one of the most fun RB's to watch in the NFL.

Reid really knows when to get rid of old vets, though. Looks like he knew this was going to be Brian's last year with drafting Shady.

Does this mean that the Eagles be looking to draft a back who can be a significant contributor right away?

              No, they have McCoy.

THANK YOU for everything, B-West. You were one of the best.

And the motto in the league now is that you need two backs to carry the load. Sad. Chargers and Eagles ran these guys for all they were worth. The two back system is so important nowadays for longevity.

The Eagles are my second favorite team and man this is sad to hear. But its still probably the right move seeing as McCoy should suffice.

Should, however, I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles picked up another HB.

Love Westbrook, but this was 2 years past due. He's a china doll and always has been. No question he's a talent, but if you're not on the field it doesn't matter.

They'll bring in someone else, but I highly doubt it's a draft pick expected to play a significant role.
