the 'strike zone' box [on? off?]

    ok whats the OS consensus?

    do you guys use it?
    don't use it?
    why or why not?

I had a hard time with 09 getting my eye down so as not to swing at EVERYTHING.
just like in real life, the high heater at your eyes being the worst.

but i feel it might be even harder to get things right without the guide of the Zone box.

I know some taqke it off just to rid the screen of even more clutter.

    Thoughts? Tips?
Cause, i'd liek to give it up.

I turn it off because it makes it more realistic for me. I hit better without it too because it is more organic. The box can sometimes dictate what you do. Sometimes swinging at balls outside the zone will benifit you. I also hate screen clutter.

Yup. Same here. All aids off for me except for ball marker when playing the field.

Less clutter and easier for me to find the release point.

I am cool with less clutter, so i want to give it a shot.

the box can dictate what u do?
swinging outside the zone will benefit?

I play as realistic as possible so all aids are off for me. It can be a little difficult at first but you get used to it once you see your fair share of pitches. If not, try turning the pitch speed down. It helps.

I choose off, makes it more realistic to me. Also, I like to remove unnecessary clutter from my screen.

Off. I like the challenge, and additionally it cleans the screen up.

hows the learning curve for you guys who have it off?

also with it off, when u hold r2 [ i think it is] to check previous pitch locations for the AB, will the zone appear?

It takes some getting used to. But once you do, it feels way more natural, and you can seem to read pitches more realistically, and don't rely on the box there. Just works really well after a while.

I agree with the others. Off for me. Feels more realistic and less screen clutter...feels more like real baseball without a strike zone box on the screen...

On most of the time, to me it helps train my eye then when I have it off it's a little easier to imagine the stirke zone.
