hahah, you are silly. Cano and Kemp are pretty much even. Why should the Yankees have to throw in the best setup man last year into the mix? Keep smoking that rock.Comment

Ratings are not based on ranks, but more on ability. Someone already pointed out his numbers against lefties and it is fitting for what he has against lefties.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Top 5 Center Fielders
Kemp does have a high ceiling. He already shown he can steal a ton of bases, hit, and play great defense.
However, he can becoming a better home run hitter if somehow managed to put that power into good use *i.e. to all fields*. He has great power, but I think I remember a Dodger fan telling me once how Matt Kemp would be so much better if he approached things like Adrian Gonzalez (his opposite field shots are a thing of beauty).
The thing is, Kemp is an exceptional player at center. Teams don't expect power and most of the time average-above average offense in terms of hitting and OBP to go along being able to provide good defense as the "general" of the outfield, but the corner outfield spots emphasize power. Power is normally not asked from a centerfielder.Comment

over the last two years or so, I noticed centerfield not being the position it once was.
I started taking note when Bernie stopped playingComment

I got love for my boy Bourn!! He had a breakout season last year and is becoming a great lead-off man. His fielding is suberb and has great speed. His numbers shows what a great season he had last year. Im surprised we only signed him for a 1 year would've like to see him sign long term. But yeah he's easily under-rated!!HoustonAstros l Texans l RocketsComment

Huh????
Discounting his 14-game stint in 1998, Carlos Beltran has played less than 140 games twice in his career, in 2000 (98) and last year (81).
He's not injury-prone as it pertains to games played. He's fine at #2Comment

Damon and Hunter are too far up this list for my taste, and I don't get the disservice toward Curtis Granderson. He's a dream for center field, and he is one of the fastest player's I've seen in a long time.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I think people are taking into account that Beltran is going to be out again for at least half the season this year.Comment
