A lot of the music on '10 while great, was played out very quickly as I had already heard the songs many times before they were on the game.

Madden Soundtrack Lost It's Charm?
Don't get me wrong, '10's soundtrack was full of classic music, but I sort of missed the "up and coming bands" soundtrack that they had in the past. Sure, the most recent one's weren't that great because I believe they got cheap and the music went from "up and coming" to "unknown".

Yeah, I remember how Madden 05 introduced me to Earshot and 06 introduced me to Finch. -

I miss the up and coming guys as well. As someone who listens primarily to rap and R&B, I gotta say, this year's soundtrack did nothing for me. And, just like Cdon2k said, all the ones that I did like got old real quick because I had heard them many many many times before.PSN - Splff3000

Re: Madden Soundtrack Lost It's Charm?
Yeah I also got tired of M10's soundtrack quickly since I heard all the songs (except for about 2 of them) before though I did find it to be better than most of the previous ones. 2004's soundtrack is still the best and will probably stay that way due to nostalgia and also since there wasn't one song on the soundtrack that I didn't like.
I miss when the soundtrack had good songs that were fairly new and/or not released yet (PS2 days).
Maybe for M11 they can mix it up and have an even balance of old & new songs.Comment

Re: Madden Soundtrack Lost It's Charm?
I remember when I first fired the game up, and the first song it played was Paranod by Black Sabbath. I was just like 'Yeah!!!...'
Then the next song it played was Duality by Slipknot, and then Alice in Chains and I was just like

Re: Madden Soundtrack Lost It's Charm?
Are you kidding me? Sabbath, SOAD, Alice in Chains, Helmet. Good ole fashioned rock n' roll right there. That never loses it's charm. HELL, it's better than having to listen to crappy screamo/metalcore bands year after year.
And don't forget TUPAC. WIN.Comment

Re: Madden Soundtrack Lost It's Charm?
I wish they'd pick songs with less cursing so they don't have to edit them so much. Edited music just sounds terrible to me. Also, they need to add Custom Stadium Sounds again, that feature was so awesome in NHL 09.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Personally, I think they should just put the NFL films music on Madden 11, along with the ability to put your own custom music on.
If you get bored then you're able to change your playlist. Plenty of other games support custom music on PS3 and XBox.
Just my 2 cents guysComment

'05 was the best...they need to find something in between SCREAMO and emo wannabe rockers...a decent mix of hip-hop and normal/alternative rock would be fine...Visit JonBob's Packer Blog, your home for insightful analysis and opinion on everything Green and Gold.

Yeah. This, 03, and 05, were the best Madden soundtrack's ever. Last years sucked so much *** (Hollywood Un-****ing dead?!). It's always great to hear that 90's alternative/metal music because nothing in the past decade came anywhere near topping it if you ask me.Comment
