    PS2 Naming roster project

Just wondering if there would be this project again for the upcoming game. Would like to help fill out the spreadsheet. Everyone did a really great job last year.

I don't want to make any promises, but I've been overhauling the '10 rosters (removing seniors, changing eligibility, editing ratings, adding freshmen) for use in PS2 NCAA 2011, and I hope to have them completed the day the game comes out. Then all we'll have to do is change the BASLUS number in the save file and it'll be ready to go.

I have about 15 teams done so far and am trying to average one per day. I'll keep everybody posted as I make progress -- I might need some help if I start running out of time and there are a lot of teams left.

very cool, let me know if you need help. I have made a spreadsheet with players for the game from Spring guides. It would be really cool if someone has the blank Excel sheet like we did last year when this game comes out

          Re: PS2 Naming roster project

Just wanted to give everybody an update. I got slowed down a bit the past couple weeks, but I'm up to about 25 teams done. I've finished all of the Big 10 (plus Notre Dame), about half of the Pac-10 and SEC and then a handful of other schools like Texas, Oklahoma, Boise State, etc.

The updates are very thorough -- I've adjusted years and ratings for every player, edited appearances, added most meaningful freshmen and fixed depth charts (using whatever is the most up-to-date spring info).

Once I get down to the non-BCS teams, the editing probably won't be quite as thorough since less information is available in general, particularly for recruits. But overall, this should be an extremely accurate roster file, and I still hope to have every team finished by release date.
