Wait....backbreaker, are you saying that you can actually transition from RTTS to Manager Mode or are you saying that would be a nice addition to the game next year?

Looking into it, thank god for this mode. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into it once the rosters are fixed. Married, in school, with a 1-year old does not go well with (162) 45-minute games.Comment

Re: Road to the Show 2010 discussions, impressions, and questions
Ha ha. I'm the same way, I could care less about other players in RTTS. Anyways, this is really the first time I've tried RTTS and I started as a C/3B and was drafted my The Dodgers. At first I came in as a replacement for the starting third baseman and worked my way into the starting catcher role within the first month of the season.I'm not really concerned with the player potential issue in RTTS, but I am waiting on my franchise for that to be settled. In RTTS, I really only care about my own player, everything else going on the league I don't care. So if someone like David Wright has a low potential and he starts to decline, I really won't even notice. Who knows, maybe I can take his job.
My problem now is that I'm tired of catching, after 4 or 5 games. Catching would be fine as a secondary position but, I don't like doing it every single day. I would rather play 3B so, that my career progresses quicker. Well, I have asked for a position change twice. Once I asked to be moved to 3b and it was denied because the starter there is probably the best hitter on our team. The next time I had the chance to request a position change I checked my team and our weakest hitter was our right fielder but, was told my the manger that my catching ability is the cornerstone of our defense. So, I don't know what to do now. Should I ride it out and hope to finally change positions or should I just give up and start a new RTTS?My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

I can't wait to play RTTS but i am deciding to wait till the rosters are fixed. I know it doesn't matter much because you only focus on one player but I like the rest of the league to be as accurate as possible. I'm kinda confused, what exactly happens if a player has a low potential rating and how widespread of a problem is it? If its not bad i may just start soon.Comment

Re: Is buying RTTS Points in the Show Store cheating?
Personally wouldn't never buy them but I can see how frustrating it is to invest so much time in a player from last year only to not have the option to import. Wish they could figure a way to import for RTTS and franchise modes into the new version.. I know i'm holding up buying MLB10 cause I want to finish a season.Follow me on http://twitter.com/Alligator_BloodComment

Re: Road to the Show 2010 discussions, impressions, and questions
I know, I just cannot wait either. I'm so thankful already for this mode. I don't know much about MLB anyways.
Probably what happens is expensive guys have low potentials so the cpu tries to move them a lot.
I absolutely decided on being a pitcher. I did fielding, but that was pretty dull, and I absolutely cannot hit.
The show is also good because since you're not in control of every play you don't need to absolutely grind every AB. When I play offense I feel if I don't grind like it's game 7 I'm cheating myself.Comment

Re: Road to the Show 2010 discussions, impressions, and questions
i would just start over if you aren't too far along. In years past it was pretty difficult to change your position, the manager would always reject that proposition. If you're just a few games in, I'd just switch. If you want to be a 3B, make sure your secondary position is IF that way you get to sub for player in other infield positions until your nail down that starting position. I have mine set as a 2B right now, but I'm starting at SS because of an injury to the team's starter. My problem now is that I'm tired of catching, after 4 or 5 games. Catching would be fine as a secondary position but, I don't like doing it every single day. I would rather play 3B so, that my career progresses quicker. Re: Is buying RTTS Points in the Show Store cheating?
I just think it's great that if you want to, you can start out as a can't miss prospect like Ken Griffey Jr. was. Where you basically go from the draft right to the major leagues. The way the create a player is set up in RttS now, that is simply 100% impossible. I think it would be great if perhaps in future years they implement this by randomly giving you a ton of points when you create a player as if you were selected to be that can't miss guy.Comment

Re: Is buying RTTS Points in the Show Store cheating?
I might purchase some points and apply them to my speed rating or something. I've always thought it was silly that you start out running so slow but can make yourself faster. If you're going to be fast, you're going to be fast from the beginning. I wouldn't use points on skills like plate discipline and awareness and stuff like that because those are improved as you improve in real life. But it would be nice to use some in other areas like speed, arm strength, and skills like that.
What's the point breakdown that you can buy?

Re: Is buying RTTS Points in the Show Store cheating?
I don't think it's cheating but all the fun of RTTS for me is working my way up. Once I max my stats I still go back and play that guy some but often start a new character. I can see how it would be appealing to start with a maxed out player for others though.Comment
