    Jeter Glitch

    Hi

I'm playing a franchise with the Yankees. Late in the game, around the 8th inning, Jeter is always taken out of the game by the computer and someone named Bubba Jenks (one of my minor leaguers on the 40 man roster) is put into the game. Does anyone know why this happens? Isn't Jeter best after the 8th inning?

All kidding aside, this is annoying and I want to know if its something I'm doing or if its a glitch.

Are you simming the game or something? I have yet to have that happen. If it's Spring Training in Franchise then maybe that's a reason. Or if you're up by a ton of runs.

check to 2 if u have cpu assist on or off
      go to
      Options
      Franchise Automation

and check to see if you have the automation on/off for Major League Task Autoamation. off means u have complete controll if
on then there is CUP assist.

      hope this helps

It's all fun and games until Jeter gets Wally Pipp'd by Jenks!

It's just smart managing. Everybody knows that when it's crunch time, you need a guy like Bubba Jenks in your lineup.

Just checked. Everything is set to off. Maybe because it's spring training it's doing that. As a Yankees fan, this is a major glitch. And it's weird that that's the only player that's being subbed.

oh and also i wasn't up by a lot of runs. i was winning 2-1 in the 8th in my last game and Jenks was brought in. i ended up losing 3-2. i blame bubba. it might just be because its spring training. i just hope this doesn't happen to anybody else and that its a glitch. it would suck if the computer subbed in players for you when you didn't want them to.

                  The Bubba Jenks Factor....beware!

Sorry that you're having this issue, but I can't help but say it is pretty funny! Probably wouldn't be as funny if it were anyone else, but Bubba Jenks...haha.

Seems like a spring training thing.

Then definitely because it's Spring Training. I've played multiple games as the Yankees (see the avatar?) and have never had that problem in the regular season Franchise mode.

yeah and i'm assuming you'd be pissed if bubba jenks replaced jeter, "donthateonnumber2." haha.

                        oh...and just an update...

i used bubba jenks in a relief spot last night. let up 1 hit, but was pretty solid.

that's right. bubba jenks can do all.

I had the same thing happen. Don't remember who it is for, but there was just a random guy in my lineup. I was like "what the hell, I didn't use a pinch hitter. Sure enough the computer for some reason subbed him in. It was the top of the sixth inning I believe. It's only happened once out of the five games I've played, and it was spring training, so I don't really care. It's just odd.
