MK- I am still trying to get my arms around this. If I do this, I still need to update the rosters after ST right?

That is the part I don't get. The Sox had Cameron batting 9th after ST following what you suggest. I don't care if Cameron goes 0-100 in ST, he ain't batting 9th. It seems that SCEA is torn - make a game that is realistic now, or one that is realistic 15 years from now in franchise. And it doesn't seem we can have both.

Why not 2 sets of rosters? One for franchise, and one for "the now"? Seems to me the issue is the player potential rating. Wouldn't two sets of rosters fix this? I for one don't care to play 15 seasons out, only to see AROD on the Sox at 43 years old. I understand some like it. It just seems hard to satisfy both styles.
