Ok I was loving 30 team control until I did this. When you go into any draft (Amateur or rule 5) YOU MUST PICK for every team! I have auto set for everything for the cpu.

So only work around I see is simming drafts. Not good.

Ya, it sucks but not a whole lot you can do about it. I will prolly just sim the draft, and do the Rule 5 thing manually...btw, I never saw the sim stop to tell me about a rule 5 draft??? When and how does this happen??

This is a joke right? The work arounds consist of the following things:

Either you have no trades at all or you have to approve EVERY SINGLE TRADE.

Either you sim the drafts or you draft for EVERY SINGLE TEAM in both the rule 5 or the amatuer draft.

You have 2 choices, either you run a ghetto franchise with no trades and simmed drafts (dumbest idea ever for a franchise) or you put in a whole lot of work approving EVERY trade and drafting EVERY player. Get real man.

The game is great but the franchise (cough, my favorite part of all sports games, cough) is bricked right now. The fix hopefuly comes quickly.

Yes, it has its flaws but it is what it is man. If you really can't deal with how it is right now then take the $20 hit and trade ur game in for the arcadey 2k10. Or just buy 09 and play it

I answered someone else's question dude, get over yourself. and there are 53 pages discussing these issues, obviously im not alone.

Get over myself? At what point did I attempt to make myself seem "holier than thou"? Continue on crying then, Im sure it will make a huge difference in the overall scheme of things.

EDIT- For the record, Im not thrilled with the work around either as I dont want to have to police lineups as much as I would have too but if youve played The Show before this year then you know this has always been a problem and, quite honestly, at some point you almost expect it to continue and become immune to it. Is it a perfect game? Of course not, but if my biggest issue ends up being screwy lineups then I can deal with it as Ive had to deal with it for years now.

Thats great, I was answering someone else's question, just don't try to say that the work arounds don't change the way franchise should be played or require a lot of work like you did. That's all I said, its up to the person to decide if they want to play as is or wait till the patch.

You turn CPU control on and the CPU trades your players right?

If you turn CPU roster control ON, then back OFF you will se NO TRADES at all with the cpu amongst themselves, or the cpu trading for you. YOU are in control to make ALL trades for every team manually if you want. That's what CPU roster control means...

Guys enough....this should be about identifying problems and solutions, not arguing. Everyone plays the game differently no way is the "RIGHT" way. Let's please stay on topic.

with that said, does anybody know if a patch is even coming?

yes a patch is coming...but when it will drop is unknown. My guess...about 6 weeks or mid-April..for those not near a calendar.

NOPE! 30 team control is when teh CPU does trades. U turn CPU roster control on you make all the moves there is no cpu trading.

I have an idea

How about someone here (that know what's they doing) makes a new thread in how to work around the franchise problem by controlling all the teams and still have the CPU trade with itself? Step by step in great detail.

Then whatever Mod works this area could sticky/pin it in place at the top of the forum and Monday when everyone gets their potential meters done people could start their franchises.

I see no drawback at all to overseeing everything because if you want to interfere you can and if you don't you don't

This is a great thread but it's got too much of "This game made me blind in my left eye so the developers are bad people" in it and frankly it's getting everything off track, I'd rather see this thread used in helping to a solution rather then crying. This is a great "what do we do" thread but it's hard to be of help to someone because of the fighting and complaining.

Also no, I can't make the thread because there's already at least 2 people that have this down pat and I'd rather they do this.

So good idea? Everyone loves it?

Online play is amazing though.
