Does anyone know where I can get the full list of tranactions that SCEA does each time they upload a new roster every Monday? I do my rosters myself so I just need the transactions.

I really think this problem will always remain because what is causing it is 40 man rosters in spring training. When spring training is over, the cpu does its own resetting of the rosters. This fix is that you have to control all teams at the beginning of franchise and then reset the rosters and then surrender control back to the cpu

Yep, that is still messed up. You just need to enter their defensive positioning, and save it.,

Also it said Gil Velasquez for the Sawx put into Free Agency which it shouldn't cause he is still with the team on AAA. But in the roster he is there, so that is a good thing.

Some weird thing going on with their Rosters this year.

While this is very annoying with the rosters not having correct potential along with the messed up trade logic, it's not a total game killer for me. Although I do wish these game companies could figure out how to make a game right before they release it, I don't have a problem waiting another month for release if that means they fix these issues right away before release.

This all being said the potential thing is rediculous.. maybe they need to learn from NHL 10 for EA sports... perfect potential system in that game and how it works. Potential changes yearly based off age and performance, they can figure it out (which is rare that EA Sports figures anything out... given what Madden has become)

Trade stuff I haven't experienced but I don't sim seasons and play games so I was only up to 23rd game of the season in my franchise and at least didn't see anything at all messed up or trades happening without me doing it. Maybe if I got later in the season I'd see this, but I never experienced the problem.

Point is while all this stuff sucks, maybe people just need to relax and enjoy the game for what it is. If you don't like it, then trade it in and get MLB 2k10, but we all know you'd be even more upset with that game. Some people will be upset no matter what they get... don't be one of them please people.

Am I the only one that remembers that potential is not static this year? Players that over-perform and under-perform are supposed to have their potential rating change. So, while there are probably too many A potential prospects and it's heavily favored towards pitchers, there's no guarantee that they'll pan out as such unlike in previous years.

Play 29-game seasons. The cpu almost never trades.

I honestly don't think potential will matter any way as far as people worrying the A prospects will take over the roster.

This year players are not promoted even in the offseason. I had Strasburg who was the best player on the Nats...in year 3 of the franchise still in AA and not on 40 man.

In all my sims only time they get called up is to fill a position due to retirement or injury or trade.

Multiple season franchises are tough because you will find Strasburg make 8 mil in AA not on 40 with 0 years MLB service time.

Sim ahead a couple years and you will see tons of A prospects making millions of dollars not on 40 man rosters.

One potential that seems a bit off is Omar Vizquel who has an 'A' potential. I realize he's a HOF but that seems a bit high. However, he'll more than likely retire after the first season you play.

Quentin seems a bit low with a 'C' potential, although he is at least up from his 'D' potential. It's understandable though since Quentin needs to prove this season that 2008 was no fluke. Then will his potential be back to where it should be.

Guys, it will be ok. The roster makers will figure it out. The good news is after I simmed a season, I didn't see any studs being delt on the waiver wire.

you guys are all freaking out over a stupid little letter. if someone has a c potential and is a younger player he can still reach a potential it all matters about the on field play. so dont have a mental fit if your favorite player has a c potential because he can still be an all-star player. so some older guys might have an a potential but if he has a bad season his potential will go down to a c or worse so you guys just need to relax.

If these kind of issues can't be fixed, then gamers like most us (hardcore realists) will not have any use for playing the season past 2010 on this game.

So if the above is accurate, then potential is either static or else with every player who drops from say an "A" to a "B" due to performance...there would have to be exactly one player who rises from a "B" to an "A" based on performance. Seems more complicated than these guys would actually be able to pull off in regards to rosters, given the issues we have seen to this point.
