With all the bugs, is it worth 60 bucks??
I have MLB 09: The Show and love it. With all of the bugs and glitches in the game this year, is it worth my 60 bucks?? I usually play franchise and RTTS.

Re: With all the bugs, is it worth 60 bucks??
I am sure this thread will get close down very quickly. For me, the fielding upgrade alone makes it worth the $60 plus tax. I am a little frazzled about the franchise bugs, but there are quite a few workarounds if they don't patch it. I never play RTTS so I can't comment on that. I hope it helps -

Honestly not sure if it's worth it. Right now not worth it at least. Just my opinion. It's a good game, not great in my eyes and think 60 is too high. But this isn't just a show thing I think all yearly sports titles are priced too high.
I could go back to 09 right now and enjoy it maybe even more then 10 at this moment.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Keep playing 09 if you have it still and wait for all bugs to be worked out of 10. I have 10 but have since went back to 09 for franchise mode. I would look to buy 10 used somewhere, I am sure there has been some trade ins because of being pissed at the bugs. I bought mine on midnight release but I wish now I would have waited and saved myself some money. 10 will be great once its fixed.Comment

Re: With all the bugs, is it worth 60 bucks??
Depends on how much work you want to put into the game honestly, if you just want to do a single team franchise then you probably aren't going to like it. But if you are a die hard baseball fan that loves the business side of the game and willing to roll up your sleeves and work at it you'll love it.
There are glitches, people say there are gameplay issues (I haven't seen them), but the game is fun. I play it every single day and I'm loving every minute of it.
It's a lot better than '09 imo, '09's franchise was nothing to write home about either.
I didn't know there were these glitches when I bought the game but even with them I'd still buy it. It hasn't ruined my gaming experience at all.Comment

Yes it is worth it. Bugs will be fixed eventually but overall it plays a great game of baseball & it looks alot better than 09."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

I wouldn't listen to the Show fanboys ... I personally don't think it's worth $60. I've only played a couple exhibition games and just learned that the patch won't even be released until next month. I will not be playing this game until then so right now it's not worth the full price. Maybe when they release the patch it will.Comment

I guess you haven't played any sports games this gen... Because everyone of them I played needed a Patch to fix one thing or another.I wouldn't listen to the Show fanboys ...
