Really annoying My Player issues

So I checked out the My Player thing and at first glance it looks really cool. I made a Starting Pitcher and at first it was fun. Then I noticed how your manager is a moron and leaves you out to dry along with your fielders.

I am a Starting Pitcher with 65 stamina yet in my first 14 starts I have 9 complete games?? My guy is DEAD tired by inning 6 yet they never put in a Relief Pitcher for me. We are down 1 run in the bottom of the 8th 2nd and 3rd 2 outs my guy dead tired and he lets me bat?? No pinch hitter. 12 run lead in the top of the 7th and i've thrown 97 pitches and getting shalacked for hits I'm so tired but they won't take me out? The also have so odd fielding positions also. I'm up 5 runs and my OF is playing shallow with bases loaded and a power hitter up? uggh it's so frustrating. I can't get my opp avg lower cause in the late innings when i am tired the manager leaves me in to throw my arm out! (yes i did up the pitcher fatigue slider to 65 also) Just no way I should have 9 complete games in 14 starts with 65 stamina

2k really needs to fix this minor quirks with the my player mode it has the potential to be really awesome!

Yea this is a really annoying flaw im in my 2nd full year as a starter im 84 overall. I already have over 30 complete games which is completly unrealistic but the most you can do if you kinda wanna RP it (if thats possible in a sports game) is just pretend your the second coming of steve carlton or tom seaver ect. I know thats not ideal but its the best we got for now.

What makes me mad as a pitcher in this is that I can't affect the power rating vs. right & left handed batters, only the contact rating.

Yea i dunno whats up with that, theres no way the affect that stat anywhere in the game. Im wondering if its a stat that no longer functions that wasnt removed from the sheet or if it still functions but they just left no way to change it.

I've seen people say that 2K designed it like that so you could rack up more skill points, but it affects the CPU as well. They leave their starters in until they are gassed beyond belief so I'm not too sure if that logic is sound or not.

At least make it an option to keep it real... "Fast track" or "Realistic" options would be nice.

All in all though, this is kind of minor to me. I'm still having a blast playing My Player.

It's a known issue that there's a fatigue/composure bug where the pitcher's energy and composure get reset during the sim segments (both for CPU and User pitchers). 2K is aware of this and we should see it fixed in one of the upcoming patches.

I hope they do fix it. I've seen where my starter is down to 30 energy in the 6th inning then come the 7th or 8th he is back to 99 energy but is still pitching like he is gassed and get's rocked.

I play the PC version so I'm really hoping this patch comes out soon!

yeah as a pitcher I threw a 13 inning complete game yesterday and got the loss. it was zero to zero. bottom 13. i give up a hit, and then i throw two straight wild pitches cuz stupid yellow meter is so fast, and then give up a bloop single and lose 1-0

I am getting sick and tired of my ******** fielders not diving or even tryin for the ball its extremely frustrating when u r the pitcher and can't do a thing about it!! And this isn't part of the issue for My Player..but why is 2K Sports extremely ignorant on putting a name change edit for the game!! If they don't get this problem fixed-bye bye 2K Sports!!!!!

I ran into another strange issue today with my My Player team, the Reds. I came up as a LF midway through July. I played a few weeks of situations, then got around to checking the team roster. Found the Reds were carrying 9 OFs, including 4 LFs (with me as the lowest rated one - and new everyday starter!). Due to this inbalance, the Reds have no one in the back-up middle infielder positions in the majors. Cannot believe the AI considers this to be a valid roster.
