As for the glitch, many of us have seen this glitch.
All I had to do was press down on the d pad which leads you to the sub screen, dont sub just go back to game action and the game will resume. I have read about 4 different people say that is how they to got back to the game. You shouldnt need to sub out your pitcher. If anything sub out a position player dont bring in a cold pitcher.
I am frustrated. Thanks for the info on the glitch too. It never occurred to me to use the D-pad and/or sub in a defensive player. I guess since it was my pitcher that wasn't able to throw a pitch and so I assumed I worked the issue by subbing him out.

Yea...I am really frustrated though because I'm getting real tired of these buggy 2K games.

Fortunately they've made it pretty clear that another patch is already in the works, and it will be more focused on "community feedback." Which their way of saying fixing the bugs we all pointed out.

Can you guys check this for me? (Im at work)

If you start a brand-new franchise (post patch) do pre-season stats carry over and combine into the regular season stats?

I find this hard to believe, but the thread on its making me nervous.

(Can someone please sim through pre-season, and see if the stats mix into regular season? And post here?)

        Dear 2k dev,

Your patch has added more issues than it's fixed, especially with the freezing. Pitcher fatigue still resets to 99 which is gamebreaking, we can't see player potentials so we can't tell who to draft which is gamebreaking.

I see CPU players that are stealing bases with a 70-75 speed rating even after I pitchout and immediately throw it to 2nd. They are at 2nd base almost before my catcher even throws the ball. Another gamebreaker.

Please fix your broken game, and as always thank you for flying Con Air.

        Best regards,

        Your mortgage payer.

A patch should really improve your impression about a game and this just doesn't do that. Too much has been said here, but one of the big features we've been waiting for, the check swing, alone is not done well.

A player doesn't pull back on the bat to check swing..... he stops short (and the bat recoils giving the effect of pulling back). We can't effectively check swing in this fashion.

This still hasn't made me forget about MVP offline or on.

I am very impressed with the patch and it's made the game even more enjoyable than it was before. Keep it up 2K.
Can you check if they globally decreased the arm strength of every player?

This isn't a post-patch issue. I 100% for sure saw this happen when I simmed the preseason in my franchise. Actually, I still haven't had time to get on and get the patch. Definitely a pre-patch issue just to be clear. Another annoying thing (that I got over) was the fact that on opening day the announcers talked about batters performances in "last night's game" and that the team has lost their last three games, etc. So, there is no preseason cutoff for stats in the records or with the announcers.

Are you sure your not just seeing stat overlays that are referencing spring training??

Cuz other posters just confirmed they simmed spring training, and the stats were not carrying over and everything seemed normal...

Also remember that this patch was being worked on before the game was released to the community.

Any new issues that people discovered once purchasing the game weren't going to be fixed until 2K releases the 2nd patch.

It appears that they messed up on the pitcher stamina despite saying they fixed it, but it seems that everything else they promised to fix was fixed.

Perhaps the stamina issue is deeper than 2K thought and because they will be working on a second patch that aims to resolve major community issues, it's likely that 2K will use the 2nd patch to go deeper into why stamina is being reset.

I hope they fix the position player fatigue and not just the pitchers since that's done wrong as well.

Yes, I'm sure. I remember looking at the stats in the menus. One in particular was the hot and cold hitters. I think the league leaders board was ok, but other menus had spring training stats. I know I'm sounding wishy washy right now, but I'm just not at my 360 and days past when this happened so I'm going off memory.

ok, can anyone else start a brand new franchise, sim past spring training, and see if spring training stats are carrying over into regular season?

I'll check it too when I get home from work and Let Ron2K know about this if it turns out to be true.

Also, I will try again (fresh) when I get home tonight. I haven't DL'ed the patch yet, so if I can get into the game without the patch I'll try it pre and post-patch and report back. I'll probably post my results around 8pm CST tonight or later.

                            WHY, WHY, WHY???

Why the hell can’t they get a baseball game RIGHT? They’ve had YEARS to get this right, and they still can’t seem to do it. I literally had to jump through hoops to get this game, because the initial impressions were good, much better than last year. So I buy the damn thing, with much trepidation. In the first game, I noticed Jake Peavy strikes out 14 players in 11 innings pitched. WTF?? I figure it might be a one-time thing, but then Buerhle goes out and strikes out 9 while throwing in the area of 125 pitches. Again, WTF?? Soooo, I wait for the patch, download it, thinking “ok the stamina thing got fixed”. LO and behold, I run a couple of games…BOTH starting pitchers (freddy Garcia/Blackburn) pitch the first one to a 1-1 tie into the 7th, and apparently, the stamina issue hasn’t been fixed AT ALL. I’m tempted to trade this F***** game in, because I know I have bought every one of 2k’s baseball games each year, and it has progressively gotten WORSE. I believe the problem is lack of competition. Lets just say that in a miracle we got THE SHOW on the 360: I bet they wouldn’t put out this POS then…ya think? It’s finally starting to sink in that they just don’t give a F***. And I’m the doofus who keeps giving them my money. Sigh…….

Hey Kev, PC version here (obviously no Patch).

Just tested this. Simmed to START of season. In my first game, the announcers & bottom of the stat overlay did say what we did in our last Spring Training game, BUT the actual stat categories were (.000, 0, 0, 0) etc....

League Leaders were all zeroed out as you would expect at the start of the season. As for the Hot/Cold screen. It did list what the players had done in their latest at-bats, but again... All stats were zeroed out at the top of the player card. (See screenshots).

Too me, it looks to be a non-issue as far as affecting Franchise stats. Also, in a franchise I started a few days ago, all players have the correct # of Franchise games played, and at-bats, etc... add up to just those games played in Franchise. Although in my 1st game, I do remember the announcers saying what I did in my last spring training game (also appeared in the bottom of the overlay).

There are so many improvement from 2k9 to 2k10 that it's hard to take your post seriously. If you really think 2k doesn't care I think you need to take a step back and look again. There are bugs yes, but they already put out a patch on 3/16, just 14 days after the game was released AND they're working on another. Let alone the massive improvment the game already is over 2k9 and prior releases as well.
