    Couple of Questions Before Buying

First off, any help is greatly appreciated! I own a PS3 and an Xbox, so I've already got The Show. Love the game, but I'm also a big baseball fan and want to buy 2k10 as well, so please, no comparisons, I don't want this locked, I just have a few questions about 2k10.

I read the patch included check swings, does it? The demo does not, and it is kind of frustrating because I'm not very good at judging pitches and check swings are huge for me in a baseball game. If they did add them, how do they work?

Also is there a way to change the screen size? On the demo the right hand of my screen is cut off because of my tv's aspect (I assume) and I cannot see what button corresponds with what pitch. I have a widescreen 1080i tv, so I'm not sure why it does this on games... if anyone has any insight, that would be great too.

Is the announcing good? I've heard it's great. The demo has none. Also are the fans more interactive and loud in the real game?

Last question, is franchise mode decent or are there bugs making it unplayable?

Thanks to whoever takes the time to read this and responds!

Check swing right now is only on 360. You can also only use it with swing stick. Contact swing: flick up with stick. Power swing: pull back then push up with stick. To check, you immediately pull the stick back.

Not sure about the screen size, but that could be your own settings that need to be adjusted. You might have zoom on. Go into your settings and mess with the different resolutions.

The announcing is great. Lots of key information, lots of interesting chatter about players, upcoming games, stats, all that stuff.

I think the fans are pretty good. The stadium sounds are great and seem to come in at appropriate times. The crowd could maybe be louder? (I feel that's the case in about every sports game) But, there are artificial ways to bump this by messing with audio settings.

Do a search on franchise mode. I'm not touching it so I don't know much about it, but there are some issues people have mentioned.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Franchise is fun for me. I'm only in preseason but, the 40 man roster option alone is great for me.
      Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

I have the same issue with the tv and the only thing I was able to do was change the resolution on the xbox to standard which is really lame so im just living with it. If anyone knows of something i should do Im sure we would both appreciate it.
