Am I just a whiner?

My most recent franchise game. Runner at third, two out, ground ball to first, runner crosses the plate before the out is recorded and the run counts.

At PNC park, runner on base, two outs, ball hit into the notch and for the third consecutive game the center fielder gets stuck against the wall while the batter circles the bases.

I lose 3-2 and two of the runs scored were a result of glitches in the game.

A: How does a glitch as fundamental as run scoring from third with two outs on a force play get added to a game? That is boilerplate programming which has been in baseball games for a decade.

B: I'm sure it took many hours to accurately depict PNC park, nobody can take a couple hours and fix the glitch in the outfield wall?

I don't know. If Madden had a field in the game where you only had to get to the 50 yard line to get a touchdown, do you think they would patch it or leave it in the game for two years?

It is frustrating in a Pirates franchise. Guess I'll switch to Forbes Field although visually I like PNC. Maybe Forbes is glitch free.

I usually have stuff like that happen to me and just move on. Of course, if it happened all the time I would get pissed.

Well the runner scoring from 3rd should be fixed, that's a bad one.

Russell does look at the glitches, OP. He's stated that the dev team is hopeful of making a 3rd patch so post in there.

My brother plays his franchise usnig the Pirates and we know exactly which glitch you're referring to. A ball gets hit into the left-center field cubby at the 410 mark and your center fielder just runs into the main center field wall while your left fielder just stands there and watches. It is annoying but it is the easiest fix ever!

Once you see the glitch happening, turn on another controller and take control of the other team by configuring it with player 2. All you then have to do is go into Options under player 2 and put baserunning to manual. From there, you can have the baserunner stay at 2nd or 3rd, whichever you like. Very easy fix. (This technique is also useful for combating other glitches too).

Well yes, but he doesn't need things like runs scoring when it is 3 outs on top of the typical frustrating nature of playing as the buccos.

Poor Pirates fans. The ownership does not care about the fans of the team and now where the fan can have somewhat control of there team and they still get the screws put to them from time to time. Atleast you have the steelers to root for,l:wink:

Playing devils advocate, but if this issue was in the game last year, and this year two patches were released and the problem still exists, why should the OP believe posting it in the Bugs/Glitches thread would be worth while?
