CoD4's maps were better in my opinion. MW2's maps were made to stop spawn killing and I believe to reduce "camping" giving you multiple sight lines. Plus MW2's maps are much bigger than CoD4's which I hate. I played Hardcore all the time in CoD4 but the maps in MW2 are just too big and I find myself getting shot in the back alot which never happened in CoD4.

Yeah. I know it could be because these maps are still fresh to me but already they seem way better than MW2's maps. I also like how COD 4's maps actually feel like a place where a war would be going on. In MW2 I don't get that same feeling. I guess it just looks too clean or something.CoD4's maps were better in my opinion. MW2's maps were made to stop spawn killing and I believe to reduce "camping" giving you multiple sight lines. Another thing that I'm wondering why they got rid of it is the fact that if you used a grenade launcher, it took away your 1st perk. Doesn't make sense to me why they took that out. Now everyone in MW2 runs around tubing half the time.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
MW4? Can I get a link to see those maps? I don't think I've ever seen/played on them.
lol. I'm kidding, but it's MW1*(or COD4).
Anyway, I didn't play much MW1, so I don't remember most of the maps nor do I "know" them. But I do agree with BlueNGold in that the maps in MW2 don't really seem like a place where a war would take place. Some of them do, but most don't.Indianapolis Colts

The only one I think is odd to have a battle on is highrise. Not the smartest thing to have a battle on top of a skyscraper lol.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Off the top of my head: Highrise, Estate, Quarry, Scrapyard, Terminal, Skidrow. Probably missed some.
Sure most you could have a war on, but they don't seem like places where a war would take place.Indianapolis Colts

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I don't really think that the idea for the Modern Warfare 2 maps was to design them in a way to make you believe you're immersed in an all-out War with tanks rolling in, and mortar shells flying around all over the place.. like the maps in BC2.
I think they were going for locales where small Spec-Ops gun fights might breakout... which considering the maps seem reasonable.Minnesota Vikings

I agree with you Feared, although MW1 maps to feel more like war environments. Although I don't think that means they are better because of that.I don't really think that the idea for the Modern Warfare maps was to design them in a way to make you believe you're immersed in an all-out War with tanks rolling in, and mortar shells flying around all over the place.. like the maps in BC2.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
That isn't the reason I said they were better than MW2's maps though. It's more because there's a better "open" feel to most of the maps and there is less useless ones like Wasteland.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
It depends what you mean by when you say war. Sure this isn't like WW2 where you have these huge battles over open areas with tanks and mortars and what not. Think about it as 1 unit vs another unit. Not a full all out battle.
Estate for example. One unit is trying to take control of the safehouse or something that a terrorist is in and another is defending it.
Or Terminal. Terrorists or a unit have taken control of an airport and a spec ops unit is deployed to take back control of the airport.
I do wish some maps were a little more open though. But I do like MW2 maps much better then MW1.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 03-21-2010, 10:10 PM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

I like the CoD4 maps better because to me, they feel like they have a better flow and the pace of the game is alot slower than the maps of MW2, but that's just my opinion

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Oh I'm not dissing MW2 maps in any way. I love the maps in this game. I just understand where BlueNGold is coming from. As I said before, I didn't play MW1 that much so I have no right to compare the two games' maps, but I do agree that the maps in MW2 don't feel like a place where a war would typically take place. Doesn't mean I don't like them, because I do, a lot.Indianapolis Colts

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Yeah this is the feeling I got. It's just that sometimes I guess things get overly hectic IMO. And like z Revis, I'm not hating on the MW2 maps either (other than Wasteland and Rust really) because I do enjoy most of them.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
